PG: Bulls @ Spurs - Ain't Even Stressin' It Edition

Post#1 » by Mk0 » Sun Mar 28, 2021 2:49 am

5 new players

Guys trying to defer to our detriment

Zach gimpy

Lauri/Pat ice cold

Down 36 in the 3rd, but a massive push to get it to 10!

GoodCoby showed up then BadCoby showed up.

Troy Temple Jr looks like a player

Green looks like a grimey hustler

Not stressing it at. all.

Vuc had an okay game by his standards. But not a bad debut overall. Once the team gets chemistry and get used to finding him in his spots, he and Zach are going to be a dangerous duo.

Lauri's gone ice cold from 3. He's at less than 28% for the last 8 games.

Like I said in the game thread...Zack shouldn't have played tonight.

And the offense was mindboggling, I don't give a damn how many times the Spurs were trying to deny or double team Vucavic, you try giving the ball to him again and again the entire game. They just gave up and it all went to ****.

Oh, and Lauri Markannen...the hell with that guy. Another brilliant 10 point performance.

Might be time for Zach to miss a few games. I don’t want this injury lingering the rest of the season. Start Brown in his place.

Lauri continues to toss up bricks on the most open 3s you could hope for. He is gone after the season. Williams was putrid. PG is still a big problem. We have a backup and a low skill SG there.

Vuc was solid considering he was barely involved the first half.

Well, we can now forget about going undefeated after the TDL.

I don’t think a team serious about the playoffs starts Pat or Lauri and certainly not both.

TBJ should definitely be in the rotation. Denzel should not.

Start Thad over Lauri.

Maybe start Temple over P-Will?

Never play more than 2 of Coby, P-Will and Lauri at the same time.

Try to stagger Zach and Vuc.

That should do it.

So how many games until Aminu starts over Lauri?

We won the 2nd half by double digits.... so, there's that. They showed some grit and some grime. Could have just thrown in the towel down by 36 but made it a 9 pt game late in the 4th. Give some credit for that.

- Rest up Zach. We need him 100%, can't risk an injury.

- Every possession needs to start with a Zach and Vuc pick and roll/pop. Those two are super lethal in pick and rolls. That NEEDS to be our bread and butter. I give them a pass tonight since they've hardly had any time together, but I expect BD to get this sorted during their next film session/practice.

- Give Troy Brown all of Denzel, Arch, and some of PW's minutes.

- Aminu looks better than I thought. If he were with the Bulls from the start of the season, he would've been our best big man defender and rebounder. He might be good for 10-15 mpg instead of just a straight up bad contract.

- For our starting lineup, start Temple instead of PW. PW got all the tools, but he's still way too raw to compete at a high level consistently especially when we're trying to win as many games as possible. If Lauri continues to not perform, he'd be up next.

Joke's on you. We're shifting those goal posts.

Instead of a 29 game win streak we will just have to settle for a 28 game win streak!

And somehow that is a better percentage than Patrick WIlliams over his last 8.

Lavine was already hurt last game, he shouldn't even have been in this game at all.

Zach should’ve probably sat this one out but Brown might be the best SF on this team. Pat better watch himself.

Zach didnt look good tonight and he certainly didnt move well either.

I say sit him next game, start Coby at the 2 and give Troy Brown all the backup minutes.

Its annoying how the game went but we did show up in the second half and we havent even shown half of what we are capable of.

I can dig it.

No. Not Aminu. He's the only guy we acquired that I'm not even remotely interested in. He shouldn't be in the rotation as far as I'm concerned. He's a 10 PER player and should be buried on the bench. Start Thad maybe.
