Boucher is good. Everytime I watch the Raps play, he always stands out. He'd be a nice PF for us.

Hilarious that KD listed the 5 best players that he’s ever played with and glaringly left out Russell Westbrook.

That was funny... Ibaka over even Dray was intentional. Both Russ and Dray he obviously wanted to send a message too.

Re: The Around The NBA Thread
Lol, Toronto trying really hard to out-tank OKC but the Thunder just wouldn't let them.
Though what is notable with the Thunder is Dort's play... they have him under contract for the following 2 seasons at under 2M per year.... That's good GMing...
Meanwhile, the Heat beating the Nets (without Harden and with only 4 minutes of Durant) is semi-notable, in that while Brooklyn is sort of sliding (we'll see if the flip gets switched close to the playoffs), the Heat didn't have Butler (or Oladipo)... but more importantly, Ariza played decently for them, as did Dedmond. Those two late adds are key for Miami.

Re: The Around The NBA Thread
Meanwhile, the guy the Bulls could have gotten for Otto Porter and a 2nd round pic, Andre Drummond, has averaged ~14 points and ~10.5 rebounds in ~26 minutes with a 58% TS (53% FG), 77% from the FT line, 107 offensive rating, 97 defensive rating, over the past 5 (of six total) games for the Lakers.
Could have been gotten for Otto Porter and a 2nd rounder... and not necessarily impaired FA (could be renounced), been easier to fit in to the roster, have kept more assets, younger than Vuc...
But NOOOOOO.... Drummond bad!!!

For what, a 2 month rental with Zach injured, and the rest of the team playing like crap?

Two month rental / "tire kicking" if the goal was making the playoffs for experience and to show commitment to trying to do that for Zach, plus to draw players in - prior to knowing about Zach's injury.
With the injury, then the 2 month rental has little associated cost - a 2nd rounder (possibly even a protected 2nd rounder) - and Bulls fans could fully embrace a tank because the Bulls would be keeping the pick if it moves to 5 or 6, rather than praying for lotto bounces. Meanwhile, Drummond would be a better fit next to Lauri (though not Thad) due to the nature of his game (as opposed to Vuc's), and probably help keep Lauri's contribution's higher (for a sign and trade).

Meh. I think it'd end badly. I think Vucevic was a clear exclamation that Lauri is not in Bulls' future plans (not to mention, they directly offered Lauri for Wizards' protected FRP or Lonzo)... and this FO doesn't seem like the type that wants to salvage the last FO's sunken costs, at the cost of developing a plan for next year's roster. I'm not into resigning Drummond; there's no model of him succeeding except as a waiver pickup for the reigning champions.

I agree on the low cost... I like that I am not a drummond fan though in anyway shape or form. Drummond is playing for his next contract, he happens to have free reign right now because of injuries but it will be interesting to see what he looks like when they are back at full strength. He also still didn't solve a problem of defense, which Vuc doesn't either. Optics league wide though was Vuc is a much smarter choice, clearly AD wouldn't have been brought here to correct issues and the FO wants to look like a "competitive" FO. The cost of 2 FRP's is high for sure and can seriously bite them in the arse but I get why they made that move. I have huge bias though and I don't like anything much about Drummond. Really what it comes down to is if the Bulls get a top 4 pick magically (pun intended) the Vuc trade is a win I guess. Whats hard is that AKME were given a bunch os N.O.S. Fiat parts and are supposed to construct a Ferrari out of it. So far they have upgraded the leather interior, cup holders and maybe the steering wheel but have done nothing for the suspension, engine, transmission or brakes. It's a long way to get to a ferrari

And you know this for sure because I find it difficult to believe that the Bulls would have turned that down when it reported(here at least) that the Bulls were interested in Drummond. He wanted to go to a contender anyways...

Given that Cleveland was seeking a 2nd round pick and no added salary, but didn’t get an offer of even that so they worked a cheap buyout.... yeah

Re: The Around The NBA Thread
Everyone was beating up on Curry early in the season when he was just getting back into shape.
But this month he moved his 3pt sliders to 99
The man has hit 10 or more 3s in 4 of his last 5 games. You cant make that up.

Not sure where he actually ranks on just scoring ability. But shooting ability, he is sitting on a shelf by himself.
