Portland isn’t going to trade Lillard for a bag of garbage, even if he demands a trade.

Lakers got AD because he only had one more year on his deal and they still had a ton of assets to offer. Same is on the hook for many years and the Lakers are mostly assetless. No way he ends up a laker unless it’s for lebron or ad.
The Lakers were desperate and AD was only 26. Dame is 31 and holds much more control in Portland.
How? he has 3 years left on his deal. Not even Harden would drag his ass for 3 season just to try and get traded.

Their defense would take a huge hit with Zach in Holiday's place. Trae Young's killing them enough as is. They'd have absolutely nobody even mildly resembling a point guard either except for the corpse of Jeff Teague. Holiday is averaging nearly 10APG in this series.
They just need slightly better versions of the guys they already got, really. Or, you know, maybe add someone like a Malcolm Brogdon. Cheap bastards.

Again, that’s almost impossible. The Lakers have nothing (aside from AD and LeBron, obviously).

Yeah, the Lakers are definitely in a tough spot with him. I really hope no team does them the favor of offering a sign-and-trade.
I think Dame might demand a trade there. Schroeder, Kuzma, Tucker and pick *vomit* for Dame
That's the kind of trade David Stern would veto to save us from.... Of course I'm sure Adam Silver would be more than happy to see that happen

"A couple of options" means there is almost a 100% chance you find a better offer than that. The Lakers don't even have first round picks to trade before like 2026.
Maybe the other option or two have less assets. Maybe he only wants to go to LA.
He's got to know he would be immediately vilified if he went that route; there are other teams he can angle for in terms of getting himself to a winning situation without joining the ranks of superteam front runners; Milwuakee to play with Giannis(one of Middleton or Jrue would have to be included to make money work); maybe a swap for Simmons so Dame can play with Embiid in Philly; maybe he gets himself to Miami somehow to play with Jimmy and Bam; none of these would be as damaging to his rep as forcing his way to LA to play with LBJ and AD.
Why would a rebuilding team want Jrue or Middleton? The Bucks have less assets than the Lakers for a trade. They traded everything for Jrue and have a young Giannis.
Miami has about as much as LA. What are they going to offer that's vastly better?
Philly is interesting. But does he want to go to Philly?

Harden had 2 years left when he demanded out. It was surprising that he dragged his ass for a few weeks before being traded. That's not gonna happen with Dame. They'll move him.

Golden State is one of the decent teams that has the assets to make a deal for Lillard. They can offer some combination of Klay, Wiggins, Wiseman, and their two lottery picks.

Curry and Dame together... Golden State redefining Half Court offense again.

Another player I dont trust is Jae Crowder.
He always looks good early in a playoff run, then the wheels just seem to always fall off.
He was that way last year in Miami and is doing the same thing this year for PHX.

Re: Around The NBA - Playoff Edition
I said it last game that no matter what happens this game, Paul George has regained his respect.
I know people still gonna be mad if he goes out in a whimper in the second half, but he has proven that he is a great player.

While unfortunate no Kawhi I think Clippers should try their best to run it back.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.
NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

The difference is that Crowder isn't expected to be on Middleton's level. He's a role player who occasionally has good games. In that role I think he's fine, but if you expect more than he'll disappoint.

The Clipper are weird. They are a good team but its like an inefficient collective group. Its a reason they keep going down 0-2 in these playoffs. They are flawed but no clear way to fix their issues.
