Ryan Arcidiacono?

I know we have PG depth but I love this dude's hustle. Anyone heard rumors of him landing somewhere? I thought with Coby having a shoulder injury we might have him around at least for a bit. I get Ball/Caruso/Ayo and I guess Dotson (?) is enough PG, and Coby is SG depth...

His hustles been replaced by Caruso. He has no place on the team. Happy travels to him, but I dont think hes an NBA player.

He's permanently ingrained in Bulls history by being the team's Win Shares leader in 18-19.

Love Arci, but I think he was gone as soon as they drafted Ayo.

He needed to be upgraded and he was. Love how he played but he did have limitations.

Think it was 2 seasons ago when he won the Boylen one-on-one tournament. That was an ominous sign for a horrible season.

I went from laughing at the idea of Arcidiacono being an NBA player to appreciating what he brought. I'm still not sure if he's necessarily an NBA player, but as an emergency player he did a good job of leaving his mark. He'll eventually wind up somewhere.

We only have a two-way spot left. Based on our roster composition, I think we should sign a shooter with some kind of upside.
Having said that, I think a team could do a lot worse than Arci for a 3rd string PG

Arci is in that mix of guys where he could trivially be on a roster for someone who needs a 3rd string PG in the 11-15 roster spots. He's also the type that could easily not make it in if teams are looking more towards upside or don't have those needs.
The Bulls absolutely do not have a need for him this season. Caruso is simply the better version of Arci, and we have so many guards it is ridiculous.

This. I dunno why people here get nostalgic for guys that don’t and have never belonged in the NBA.
That said, at least Arci leaves the league with some dignity and has not experienced getting beasted on by some sales associate from the Burbank kids footlocker in the Drew League.

I think he deserves a spot on the roster despite having Ball, Caruso, Coby, and Ayo. If there’s injuries during the season and his name is called you know he will give everything he has. Good player to have for practice as well. If there’s a roster space for him, why not bring him back.

I think many are viewing him through Bulls colored glasses. If he doesn't get signed by any NBA team, take the hint he never was an NBA player. Teams would leave him alone to double team somebody because they knew he wasn't going to take the open shot, he might have made half the open shots he took but he didn't take enough to scare any defense. He was at best a scrappy player, viewed from a distance he wasn't even that good, just leave off the S

ryan arch is a perfect representation of garpax. they loved amassing guys like him: unathletic, soft spoken, 'humble' college boys who didnt talk back, didnt question the authority, shut their mouths and did what they were told. they seemed to love unathletic guys. flashy athletes and brash talents typically have easier times building brands for themselves and thus would be more likely to question the status quo or question why these two useless b00bs are allowed to run the chicago bulls into the ground. those scum bags ran the bulls like a small town 7th grade team circa 1954.

He's probably going to Europe or China, or start working up the assistant coaching ladder if he wants to stay in the US.

Play long, and prosper on some other team, Ser Arci.

It's no surprise he hasn't landed on another team, he is not a NBA Player and never should have been. Only Gar/Pax would sign a player like him to a guaranteed deal.

He has no role here, obviously. But I hope he lands somewhere. I think there will always be teams that could use a guy like him who can play both ends of the court if needed in spots without hurting you, and is no doubt a great guy to have in the practice gym pushing the main rotation guys.
