As of Oct 24th, we have the best record in the East. First team to 3 wins.

I don't predict it will last long, and it is a function of the schedule, but I hadn't considered the idea that we may be alone atop the NBA with the best record at any point this season.

the bulls, hornets, knicks and wizards are the only undefeated teams in the east. the lakers and celtics are winless. it's...early

i could see the bulls leapfrogging the celtics for 6th in the vegas odds before long though

I see the Celtics continue to drop into 7-8 seed team. I think they've plateaued. I know it's crazy considering the age of their core, but this team sort of peak too early. Not sure Udoka can get more out of this group than what Brad Stevens have already done.

Hornets is an interesting team, LaMelo, Bridges, Hayward, Rozier, are fighters. They're a team that you have to be ready to play them. But I don't think they're as good as the Bulls.

Wizards is a surprise, but they're definitely deeper and better than last season. They have Bradley Beal so I expect them to be a competitive team this year. I think they can make the playoff this year. I think they're going to be a tough matchup for us anytime we play them this season.

Knicks is a playoff team, but I expect some ups and downs. Their talent level IMO is pretty meh, but Thibs have a well coached bunch. We Bulls fans know Thibs team always shows up well prepared. So they're going to grind out some Ws. I still don't see the Knicks finish any higher than 5th seed. They're still lacking superstar player.

I think Chicago will finish anywhere from 3-8 ignoring the possibility of major injuries for all teams.

i'd guess that crashing and burning is more likely than hosting a first round series, but i don't see either happening

After Brooklyn and MIlwaukee, I don't see a team that is definitively above Chicago in the East. I don't think Chicago is definitively above everyone else either, but Philly, Miami, Boston, New York, Atlanta are commonly viewed as the next group (maybe forgetting someone in there), and I don't look at those teams and think "wow they have so much more talent than us", not at all.

If I had to pick above 5 (1-4) finish or below 6 (7-15), I'd probably favor 1-4 more excluding major injuries on the team, but it'd be pretty close for me.

One thing I will say, we could have an early Thibs situation where we are an amazing regular season team and kind of evens out in the playoffs. Not to say we could be the best “team” in the East, but the top record in the East might be within reach if our defense stays consistent. One can dream right

I predicted we’d start 4-0 cause the schedule was easy as hell. After that, I don’t expect to be lossless cause we play a bunch of playoff teams, but I do think every game is winnable. I don’t really care if we go 4-4 or 8-0, cause I think Oct-Nov wins are good but not crucial. However I am very curious to see how they do against a hot scoring team.

I think Thibs can chase that best record. I’d prefer we play to develop (chemistry, shooting, prospects) and pace our guy’s stamina and health. Go for the real momentum run in March. It’s obvious that this team isn’t going to lose games “they should win,” which means about 20+ tanker games are in the bag, and from there you just need to go .500 to get a solid berth.

There is no denying this team’s defensive floor is really good, but great defense doesn’t win against a great defensive team shooting very well. But basketball is a game of streaks. If ATL, MIA or MIL are on fire from the arc, then I don’t see how we keep up with that rate of efficient 3P scoring, unless Vuc/Zach/Lonzo go equally nuts. But all 3 of those elite teams just drifted between brilliant and horror-show performances, so maybe we catch them off. Or maybe Caruso and Lonzo just shut down the arc. I am really looking forward to seeing them on Trae, Herro, etc.

All I know is we have an excellent, in-control team with a good identity and a deep bench that can win any night, cause our defense is consistent as hell and our bench is deep as hell.

If Troy plays bad, Ayo comes in. Coby and DJJ haven’t even gotten any burn yet. Last year starters.

Still think the key to this season is prospect development. Javonte, Ayo and Lonzo present looks make me very happy - Pat, Troy, Alize and Coby have their work cut out. We need them.

I am most definitely enjoying the moment, as I said, I hadn't even considered the possibility, it is awesome. Team is so fun too.

If you think we're overboard after going 3-0, ladies and gentlemen, your New York Knicks!

Scottie Pippen's response to whom he would pick for his running mate, Michael or LeBron: "That's a dumbass question. I've never done anything with LeBron. I wouldn't take LeBron to the movies."

Knicks haven't been relevant in 20 years and i haven't won a title in almost 50. I cant really blame them for freaking out on this team. Probably reminds them of the 90s teams.
