GT: Bulls VS Knicks October 28 7:00 CST

Like a lot of this board has said, we need to start this year off 5-0. The next 10 games are going to be a dog fight. We need to finish the job right now to get some breathing room. We could very well be under .500 after over the next couple of weeks.

NY is a strong defensive team, and they've added some offensive firepower this summer. They are not to be taken lightly. This is a team we need to get out on early, and stay on top of them. Thibs' teams don't quit, so we're gonna need 4 strong quarters to put them away

Chicago Bulls starting lineup:

PG: Lonzo Ball
SG: Zach Lavine
SF: Demar DeRozan
PF: Patrick Williams
C: Nikola Vucevic

New York Knicks starting lineup

PG: Kemba Walker
SG: Evan Fournier
SF: RJ Barrett
PF: Julius Randle
C: Mitchell Robinson

Coby White- Out

Keys to game:
-Build and MAINTAIN the damn lead
- Don't leave PAW/Javonte/Alize on an island with Randle
-Aggressively crash the boards
-Take care of the ball
-Get out in transition

I can't even verbalize how much I love the Bulls vs Knicks being a must see game to watch again and what it means to me as a fan. Add in DRose and Thibs on the Knicks too? I'm soaking up and appreciating all the joy that this super early season 2021-2022 Bulls team is giving us right now.

This is going to be a GREAT ball game. Tragic that I'll be at work and not at the UC.

Coaching - Thibs

Only thing the Knicks have over us is coaching. I'll take Zach & DeMar over Julius & D-Rose.

The Knicks play their entire game through Randle so I'm intrigued with how PWill will handle him. It will be a massive assignment. The problem is we don't really have anyone other than Williams that could potentially handle him? Alize is probably the only one with measurements but even he is undersized.

Randle has turned into a legit monster. Very impressed by him and how the Knicks play ball. Looking forward to this game. It's good to see the cornerstone franchises thriving.

Not excited about the PWill-Randle matchup. Pat needs to start rebounding. If he comes out that soft again, we lose. There’s a chance we seem some Bradley and more Johnson.

I’m really concerned about our lack of traditional size. Especially in this matchup. I hope we don’t get out rebounded a lot and can defend the paint effectively.

Play against the Knicks like we did Toronto and we'll get beat down. But after the first Pistons game which was a struggle, they came back with some hard nosed passion against NOP, so after this kinda average performance against the Raptors, I kinda expect them to bounce back. Plus Zach gotta get going early.

Knicks is a well coached team who will have scouted us well and know they have to rebound well vs us and get back in transition, also protect the ball.

With that said we will still create a good amount of turnovers vs them and have our opportunities to get out in transition. In the half court knicks rely on rose a lot in those situations and ball is going to be a issue for him. Knicks really don't have the defenders to deal with lavine or derozan. Knicks will try to beat us up down low. Patrick will become important here he needs to wake up and make his presence felt otherwise we need to go more alize and green at the 4.

2 days rest is going to do us well, home court advantage will help us a lot UC will be rocking especially in the 3rd and 4th. I think we beat the knicks by double digits. At some point we will go Chi slamma jamma on them.

Toronto was a 3rd game in 4th night in a game where we went up 20. We simply got up big and really stopped playing. Those mistakes we made down the stretch were fatigue mental breakdown mistakes Toronto didn't force anything. Lavine turnover , that ball turnover eliminate those and execute well we end this one good. It was lazy passes and lazy dribbling because we were tired and looking forward to the bus plane and home. That can't happen but at home in the uc we won't have to worry about that.

As much as we talk about the schedule getting tougher the players know and understand the same thing. Their eyes will be wide open and they focus will be there because they want to prove a point they been waiting on these "tougher" games they will be ready and respond well.

The good news is that in the starting lineup, Knicks only have Fournier and RJ to match up against Zach and DeRozan. Gonna be a pick hour poison Thor of night for them. They don't have anyone to throw at them defensively, but we also don't have anyone to throw at Randle defensively.

We have guys to throw at Randle

It just depends on how much Billy wants to play them or will he continue to go with Patrick williams who sleep walking

Green and alize can defend him. Derrick Jones Jr can defend him.

On our end, they literally have no one to throw at lavine or derozan.
