Starting this one. This is my sons first game. Bulls should lose theoretically but I am hoping for an upset. Jazz are soooo god but the Bulls are OK. We have a punchers chance.

Finish the work I couldn't MJ. I needed to go 5-0 regular season.

And the losses start to pile up

. Have no size for this match up…. Would be great if Zach channeled 2011 rose when Noah and booz was injured and just go crazy and win these games for us

Good thing is Utah is due for a let down considering they haven't lost a game yet
Bad news we seem banged up and we need special performances from lavine and or derozan and I'm not sure at this point lavine can be special he can contribute but we kinda need a 40 piece from him and good games from ball and Vucevic.
One thing on our side is we are at home. Maybe the loss turns us up and we come out playing inspired.

Utah starts Royce O’Neale at PF, who is 6’5” and 225. His primary backup is Eric Paschall, who is 6’6” and beefy. Thus our lack of size at the position should not be a big issue. So at least there’s that.

Not gonna lie, I'm feeling quite deflated with the injuries after a couple months of extremely good vibes. I'm hoping we can pull off an upset to cheer everyone up again.

No Conley or Gobert makes things interesting. Bulls should be able to compete, especially at home.
At this point I'm just hoping for no more injuries. Let this at least be another game for the team to continue to gel together.

Of course mostly negative responses so far in this thread. With basically giving us no chance and if we do win it'll be because the jazz didn't show up or because their injuries..Never change BullsrealGm Lmao
With that said I see the guys showing up for this with something to prove after the lost against the knicks. From all the interviews it seem to left a sour taste in our guys mouth and they want to go out this game and fight! I have faith so Go Bulls let's get this W!

Can’t have such a defeated attitude going into these games. The Jazz are an elite squad but let’s be honest - they’re not world beaters. They have one elite shot creator in Mitchell & two other above average ones in Conley & Clarkson. Fortunately Conley is not playing which improves our chances quite a bit.
Zach, Demar, Zo & Vuc are going to want to respond after losing against New York at home & losing Pat. I know we haven’t proved **** but it’s a 82 game season & every NBA team is at risk of losing any night.
Keep the faith. If the Jazz don’t light it up from deep, which is a realistic threat, I really like our chances in this one.

Rudy GAY is out, not Rudy Gobert.

I know this isn't a popular thing to say, but we looked significantly better with Javonte in the starting lineup than Pat. He plays at 100% all the time, and Pat just doesn't.
The small ball thing will either work or it won't, but strictly speaking, for this season, this injury is forcing Billy to upgrade the starting lineup.

Now that we've got the monkey off our back (unbeaten record), I expect this team to come out firing, with nothing to lose mentality.
I don't think Pat's injury will bother the main guys. Over the last 9 games (starting from preseason), the team's attitude and focus remains the same. You can see it in everybody from Zach, Vuc, Demar, Lonzo, AC, they're on a mission and they have this look on their face like they have a chip on their shoulders, and the unbeaten record up to Knicks game made them believe that.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/CHI/2022/on-off/Sometimes facts aren't popular but that's reality. Pat had the worst net rating on the team. The Bulls are +13.9/100 with him on the bench.
The real question is how well will DJJ or whomever do with the minutes. If the Bulls replace a bad player (Pat) with a worse player (DJJ), it will hurt the team.

At the moment Javonte > Pat > DJJ. Pat is like bigger Javonte without the motor, and DJJ is like Javonte without the ability to spot up. I think in some situation DJJ can be more impactful than Pat, but my worry when opponents figure it out, they're going to force DJJ to shoot 3s, and when that happens we're going to be like playing 4 on 5 on offense.
I'm thinking maybe Bradley and Alize is going to see more time as a post-4, with Vuc playing more stretch 5. Before we see DJJ playing 4 full-time.

Alize has played rather poorly. Its not really his fault because I think he is trying his butt off but he doesn't have the skills or size needed for the 5. IMO, he might totally fall out of the rotation.
Ball / Ayo
Lavine / Caruso
DDR / TBJ
Javonte / DJJ
Vucevic / Bradley
Is probably your 10 man rotation for a while. At least, that's based on what BD has said.

Alize's stretch in the first half against the Knicks was so bad that I'd expect Bradley to get his minutes, especially against the Jazz with Whiteside coming off the bench. We'll see if DJJ can make an impact because he should definitely get the chance to.
The offense will have to be much better this time or I don't think we have much of a chance. We're not stopping the Mitchell/Gobert PnR.

I agree, anything can happen on any given night. Besides in being the RS champs (the Jazz) last year IIRC the Wolves had their number and beat them in all 3 games head to head so you never know. I am sure in most of the games theJazz were at full strength.
