One way or another we need to get Trevion Williams on this roster. I've seen some mocks with him going undrafted, which I legitimately don't understand. If that were to happen, as a Chicago kid I like our odds.

Its the 18th pick, who is ever in love with the options on the table at 18? Silly commentary here.

Really? Cue GarPax statements from 2007-2015. They loved their mid/late 1st picks. Hell, they loved Eddie Basden and Aaron Gray. Snell, Bobby…

I do look at this draft and see a weird crop of talent. I feel like the gambling aspect is making more of it than the talent itself. Lot of big men, which has translated to very mixed NBA results. Fine line to where their shooting, handles and defense become positives rather than liabilities, in high volume. I think Paolo looks like a sure-bet Tatum/Melo style star prospect, but after that, it’s hard to say who’s what.

A guy like Eason or Sochan could turn out to be a nice starting hybrid, or they’ll struggle due to scoring ineptitude. First off, there aren’t a lot of shooters in the draft, but the ones that are have mediocre handles or athleticism.

Comparison:Clint Capella
Floor:Rotative Defensive Center
Good rim protector and shot blocker
Ceiling :High Level Starter
The Bulls should draft him if available.Improves the frontcourt in a much cheaper way than Gobert and complementing Vuc´s defensive weaknesses.

I can't speak for the draft as a whole, but just in our range, you have Ogbaji, Jalen Williams, and Malaki Branham, all excellent 3 point shooters. And Ogbaji and Branham are pretty athletic, esp. Obgabi. And Eason and Liddell also shot pretty well from 3 for pf's.

Drafting a big guy would be a realistic way of improving the roster without touching the core of Ball ,Caruso,Zach ,DeMar and Vuc.

If we keep 18 - I want Jovic, and I'd stash him for a year.

Would love to trade back with Memphis for their two 1sts, if Jovic is still available when they pick. Stick to the stash Jovic plan, and take someone else with 29.

i think there's a decent chance williams slides. there's a thin line between "starting caliber defensive anchor/rim running center" and "interchangeable role player defensive/rim running center." it's tempting to see him as the former but you can get guys like nerlens noel and javale mcgee for cheap in free agency every year

I don't expect him to be there either, but two late mocks both have him going to the Bulls- Givony at ESPN and Bleacher Report I believe. So maybe he's falling for some reason. I agree, it would be a great outcome if he does fall to us. But usually someone does drop, you just never know who it will be- could be Mark Williams, could be Ogbaji, could be Eason. I think we'll get someone pretty promising at 18. That's why I don't want to see it traded, unless we get a really nice return.

I would much rather get Kofi Cockburn as a undrafted FA than draft Mark Williams at 18. I think that's why I'm crossing my fingers for more fire power.

ESPN´s mock :Buls drafting Malaki Branham who would be a solid pick ,a good wing prospect for deveplopment. He`ll have a lot of work to do improving his defense.

His lack of athleticism, defensive questions, and then role issues. He's a fantastic passer, but for him to be as effective as he was at Purdue, he'd have to be a larger focal point of an offense, and I don't think there are teams willing to do that. As an undrafted player, I'd have no issue with giving him a shot though.

I'd love to get Mark Williams. I heard a report about him the other day, raving about his mobility and ability to switch onto smaller players, which is essential these days. Despite all his limitations on offense, if he can just give us an inside presence on D, rebound on both ends, and catch the occasional lob, that would be a big plus for us.
