GT - Bulls @ LAL

Let’s take 2 out of 3 in California. We already have marked our territory in the staples center. The scent of our victory is still lingering in the air.
Don’t think Lebron will be back for this game but we may just have Coby White tonight.
AD is going to be a problem of course. This is a game he can feast and likely will. Maybe though he will demand a trade to the Bulls after the game.
While we don’t have a good answer for AD with Lebron out I don’t think La has enough to stop LaVine and DDR. Let’s hope that the team with all its California connections didn’t celebrate last nights victory too much.

Probably gonna have to watch this Tuesday. Rams on Monday night takes priority.
Prediction: AD goes for 73. Bulls win 90-76.

Game starts at 9:30, MNF ends by 10:15? 10:30? You can start watching this at the end of MNF, fast forward through commercials / half time, and you'll be live by the end of the game. Plus, fair chance that by the time the game really tips off (9:40 or so), that the MNF game won't be compelling and one team will have a decisive advantage and you can just go straight to Bulls.
That said, I will probably watch Tuesday because I don't want to stay up until midnight

B2B for both teams probably means an ugly game, which has some advantage for Chicago. AD played 40 minutes last night but he'll probably destroy our frontline. Will Billy still play Derrick Jones at center vs AD?

Keys for Bulls:
1) Make our 3's
2) Stay under 14 TO's
3) Win RB battle

Both teams on a back to back, but I'd give the edge to us since our roster's average age isn't 37 and it's Caruso's and Lonzo's revenge game. Also, Zach and DeMar don't miss in LA.
Lakers this year:
Offensive rating: 24th
Defensive rating: 12th
Net rating: 19th
Compared to our last ten games, this should be one of the easier ones. You basically want Russ taking all the shots (.495 TS%) and less so AD (league average TS%), and you wanna lure both guys into taking 3s. They're kinda like us in that they're near bottom of the league in terms of 3PA. Maybe we should play zone defense for a change. Melo and Ellington have been hot from 3 so those are two guys we can't leave open.
Russ leads the league in turnovers per game (5.4), so I can't wait to see what our defense will do to that offense (29th in turnovers per game). It'd be fun if the Bulls out-showtime the Lakers, as we have more eyes watching than normal (game is on NBA TV).

AD will have to look down to see if someone is guarding him.

It should be kept in mind just how much the Bulls don't like the Lakers franchise. Ball, Caruso and Derozan (hey, take the MLE as we give up the farm for Westbrick) all want this game. Zach is also a socal boy and there were rumors he wanted to play there but got ignored.
This is going to be AD versus a swarm of piranhas.

Both teams playing on a B2B. Should be a winnable game. Let’s get it for AC!

If the Bulls lack of size is going to be an issue, we might see it tonight. We might also see how bad the Lakers are at defending in transition.
My feeling is AC and Lonzo play determined basketball and kick some ass!

So I gotta assume we're not starting Caruso again, right? RIGHT!?
Honestly we should probably start Alize or DJJ to gather some fouls on AD. Javonte against him is not going to work.

As they defend Davis on the roll action towards the basket they should fine. Davis, for all his talent often takes fallaway perimeter shots when defended by smaller guys.
Chicago should have the overall advantage here. Lavine is due for a good performance, he's been having either poor shooting or high turnover games lately.

Yeah, he's doesn't spend a ton of time on the lower block, but he's basically shooting uncontested jumpers over 6'3 guys.

Not that they were kicking ass before, but LeBron's missed about half their games. If he plays tonight and is fully ready, they're a different team. That said, not sure if he's playing tonight, and I still think we're better.

Lakers started AD at the 5 yesterday so Bradley would be guarding him if they make no changes.

Okay, that's not a problem then. We can go with Caruso again. Assume he's going to play with a chip on his shoulder due to the contract dispute with LAL.

Hoping Lakers give AD a rest day after playing him 40 last night. Come on Lakers, tank the game!

It's hard to get used to fact Bulls can win more games than every 3rd one and win against good teams. So to me every win is almost like miny suprise of happiness.

Fun Bulls-Lakers fact, Luol Deng is the 6th highest paid player on this current Lakers squad. Hasn’t played since 2017.
