So where does this leave us?

We will have Coby, Green, and I'm assuming DDR back by then. Anyone else that will be close? DJJ?

Will definitely leave us in a better position than we are now that's for sure! Hopefully this also prevents any other cases. Shame it took the NBA this long. But I guess better late than never.

I posted this in the Alize thread before the postponements were announced, but I'll post it here too:

Just FYI, this is when everyone hits ten days out from when they went into the protocol:

Coby = 12/10
Javonte = today
DeRozan = 12/16
Thomas = 12/18
DJJ = 12/19
Ayo/S.Johnson = 12/21
Zach/Brown = 12/22
Alize = 12/23

If I were guessing, I'd say Coby/Javonte/DeRozan will be back for the Lakers game(Coby/Javonte before, maybe); Thomas for the Lakers or Houston on the 20th; DJJ for Houston on the 20th or the Raptors on the 22nd; Ayo/Johnson for the Raptors on the 22nd or the Pacers on the 26th; Zach and Brown for the Pacers on the 26th.

Probably aiming for the Hawks home-and-away for having everyone back. Unless Lonzo/Caruso/Bradley get put in the protocol at some point.

I think what he meant to say was "Way to do the right thing, NBA, after f@#$% this up and making it clear that money trumps player/staff health".

Maybe DJJ? He went on the list Thursday. It's 10 days between last Thursday and Sunday when we play the Lakers, so there's a shot. If not against the Lakers, hopefully the Rockets on Monday

I guess the silver lining on all of this is that 70% of the team gets 10 full days of R&R 25 games into the season. Im sure at least a few of them were a bit banged up from random things and now get a chance to heal up.

Sounds like the city of Chicago put a little bit of pressure on the NBA too to make the decision.

FINALLY.

But only two games?

It bears repeating: whatever they are spreading is highly resistant to the vax.

This isn't complicated.

A reminder that it's not just the players who are at risk here.

Does "health and safety protocol" unequivocally mean that someone has Covid or just that they've been exposed and need to quarantine to be safe?

Bulls and Blackhawks UC does not seem ultra safe. Almost assuredly I have to think Ball and AC need to go into protocol too at some point.
