Why is everyone so flat footed for reboumds? I mean really?

You watch this team and you wonder how they won 45 games so far.

It's just occurred to me the absolute worst thing about losing to these top teams is that every game is the exact same game.

Every quarter plays exactly the same way... we are always down by about the same amount, can't stop the same stuff, can't make the same open shots....

It's like a recurring nightmare where the opposition jersey colours are different but everything else is the same.

If this is what Zach is going to be like at 70%, he’s better off resting. He’s not helping anyone

Totally and emphatically disagree. What do they do when your role players don't cut, don't make shots when they pass or just fumble the ball?

You don't see Tatum and Brown going ISO? Don't see other star players going ISO??? They will pass when doubled and then it's on role players (including guys like Vuc) to make them pay but we just don't have those kind of players right now. They did that earlier int he season and then played with energy, right now? Not 1 bit.

Just as I write, Tatum was going ISO and he was doubled and still took a tough shot - my point is, all star players do that - nothing new.

The problem is just because you are passing out of a double team it doesn't mean you are putting those other players in a position to succeed . Zach and Demar are not drawing double teams that create layups they are drawing double teams that create long jumpshots or threes and this team is actually built to get out and run .

Weve gone from seeing the double teams in the 4th quarter to now seeing them in the 1st quarter. The problem is that we used to get out and run for three quarters so all these guys other guys were into the game and had got into a rhythm by getting a layup or two and a easy basket . Now from just about jump ball they are standing around watching Demar and Zach and dance .

It is up the other players to do something. If Zach and DD are getting doubled the moment they step across the half-court line and have the ball, the other guys need to take advantage of the situation. (Vuc should be feasting...he is a big part of the problem)
Reminds me a lot of the Rose/Thibs Bulls....

What should they be doing ? Remember how early in the season the announcers always said how Demar plays at his own pace and he doesn't change it no matter what well now the entire team is playing at his pace . Not everyone is a great one on one jumpshooter or wants to throw up a three . Early on we had Zo who kept the team at a more balanced pace but the longer he is gone the more everything has gotten pulled into Demars pace .

This team should be running and the way we slow the ball down as if we have three 7 footers is weird and makes no sense .

You want Javonte and DJJ creating havoc and running the floor and taking the occasional three and then you want to sub and you want the subs to do the same . You wanna keep the energy level and possessions as high as possible because the more guys that get involved by the 4th quarter the better as it will open up the floor for Demar and Zach .

This whole shtick where we are gonna try and out execute all these bigger teams with 4 quarters of half court ISO simply does not work and we have a point guard so Zach and Demar should not be bringing up the ball this is part of the half court problem.

Nets struggling against the knicks...The NBA is weird right now. I feel like these guys just want to get to the playoffs. It's been a long ass season for all these teams, especially with the Covid BS.

It is incredibly easy to play the Bulls and have a great assist ratio.

Any edge these guys had as individuals has been dulled and muted.

Ayo's not that crazy 2nd round pick, he's just there.

Caruso's offensive inabilities stick out more.

I've almost forgotten what DJJ and Javonte do and wouldn't remember Tony Bradley played for this team.

OMG ... pathetic. It doesn't matter how big we go front court. Still so pathetic and weak.

It doesnt make any sense at all. You figure the logical thought was they assumed theyd lose a tough game to the Bucks and that Cleveland would beat Orlando. Thats why Zach sat.

He doesnt need to play now. Get him fully ready.
