Waived Players [Admin - Lock This]

I don't know the cap implications, but is there any chance we get in on any more waived players before the playoffs?

James Johnson & Trevor Ariza are both available. I know they're rough, but do they move the needle more than Matt Thomas?

What do people think? Is it too late in the season? I know it's hard to mess with team chemistry, but things are shaky now anyways...

Isn't there a date they need to be waived by in order to be resigned and available for playoffs?

Oh - nevermind, if you were waived after March 1 you're not playoff eligible. my bad

There is a date that players need to be on the roster by to qualify for the playoff roster and whatever it was, it has passed.

And a better 14th player on the roster isn't even seeing the needle much less moving it. Almost no team goes 10 deep in their playoff rotation, most go 8-10. You only see DJJ getting off the bench in the past few games due to Ayo's woes and injuries.

I guess the rule is: You can sign a waived player whenever, but they have to have been waived before March 1

So we'd be ok waiving Matt Thomas without impacting the playoff balance in the East. Good thing we waited.
