What a success this season has been.

Poles got a bit of luck and a great deal foresight to pull this off while also showing we have a franchise QB.

Time to make some big swings and fix this team.

Inject 3 months of speculation into my veins.

So we like our QB, have the 1st pick in the draft, and 100 million to spend, way more than any other team.

Hell yeah

What do we even do here? It’s obvious we’re going to not draft a QB, so that will devalue its trade potential for folks looking to move up for one.

Trade it for multiple picks? Trade it for a player(s)?

Thats how to tank ladies and gentlemen. I’m proud and happy to have been a part of a real tank for once in my Chicago existence. We will never see this again in Chicago.

Sell to the highest bidder in the top 4. Should get at least another 1st rounder along with that top 4 pick, maybe even a 2nd rounder this year.

Then draft one of the two dlineman available, Carter or Will Anderson Jr.

There will be suitors and we will get a massive haul.

You need a good deal of luck, foresight and execution to win a championship. Poles has put himself in a position where he can have an offseason to die for, good golly that's awesome.

The franchise's fortunes have changed so much in the past 12 months, good for him.

Now let's hope the Cardinals beat San Francisco and/or Denver beats the Chargers. That'll lock Indiana up at #4. The trade scenarios are gonna be wild.

Chargers are resting their starters because Baltimore lost.

I put $10 on a Bears/Texans/Cincy/Broncos parlay just to make it funny.

Arizona at 3 would put them also as a prime trade back team - so we could move back to 4 and get our pick of Anderson/Carter. So freaking crazy.

Pipe dream:
Houston falls for Bryce Young, trades up and gives this years 2 and next years 1.
Indy falls in love with Stroud, trades up and gives this years 2, next years 1, and Quenton Nelson.

Bears draft one of Anderson/Carter if they fall, more likely the next best edge or the best OT. With the 2 high 2s, grab WRs. Then DL/OL/LB with their own remaining picks.

Or see if you can get Indy to trade up to 1 for their 1,2,3 and next year's 1 and Nelson+Buckner.

Bears are on the clock. In the meantime, Bears coaches get to coach the Senior Bowl, and gain some close insight into players

Probably the best Bears loss in my 60 years of Bear fandom. Bears control the draft and are also the #1 player in free agency. A rare case of having a golden opportunity to make a swell chicken salad from a chicken **** of a season. Of course, you can only feel good about this if you believe in Justin Fields. I do.
Until the actual truth is more important to you than what you believe, you will never recognize the truth.

Team Bryce Young over here I think.

Seems like the good pieces of Tua and Kyler in one package.

Even if you don't feel sold on Fields - you can trade this pick for an additional 1st rounder and if you suck next year, you have ammo to go get a different QB.

Ideally Houston trades both their FRP to move up 1 spot. Plus whatever we can get from their 2024 picks to make it work.
