I wouldn't be surprised if he's out for the season, but hopefully that's not the case.

I really do like JaVonte and the energy he brings, but I think I prefer DJJ ultimately in the rotation.

I’ve been preaching that since preseason. But hate this for Javonte.

I think folks get the impression I’m down on the guy. I’m absolutely not. I think he would be a terrific 7-8th man defensive spark plug/specialist type on the right team, including league contenders.

I just don’t think he’s a good fit on our poorly constructed team. We aren’t the right place for him and he’s not right for us.

But I’m a fan and really root for the guy. Hope this injury fully heals and he gets a life-changing longer term deal his next time up. He’s put in the work and he deserves it on merit as well.

Totally prefer DJJ and now I worry that this injury will mean that AKME will be looking at trading DJJ instead

He's the perfect guy for GSW in that Gary Payton role. Green would be a fan favourites amongst the league if he got a bit more spotlight.

Nice seeing this clarification from you. It often seemed like you were knocking down Javonte (in the past) when in reality, you’re annoyed at AK. You probably noted that at times, but probably gets tiring adding in the parenthetical note often, so it just sounded like unwarranted Javonte bashing at times when some statements didn’t have an AK qualifier.

Yeah I’ve written statements like that before in general that get lost in the shuffle. As you note it’s not real convenient to bring it up every time you’re critiquing his role.

Bummer to lose a depth piece like Javonte, but I think we're better with DJJ in the lineup, and ironically, with healthy Javonte, that wasn't going to happen. Sometimes you like a guy and what they can do, but hate the way the coach overvalues what he does. Javonte is that guy IMO.

Surprised how many of you guys prefer DJJ. I like them both but feel Green is a lot more disruptive and infectious with his energy. A better finisher and defender. DJJ is a better shot blocker but that's about it.

I like Javonte but he is very often injured.

Hopefully he recovers fast and be ready after the all-star break.

Yeah, I think it stinks to have Javonte out. But hopefully DJJ can step up. I feel like he should hit a next level. Great athleticism and length.

I don't think there is any basketball universe where DJJ is better than Green.

This is bad news

I think there's one, and you live in it.
