When they showed the shot of the Panthers owner near the end of the game, shaking his head, I was thinking, man, what on earth ever possessed them to give up their #1 pick this year to move up to take Bryce Young? What a terrible decision, in hindsight.

What a snooze fest of a game! One exciting play the whole night. Two extremely incompetent offenses battling it out to see who could be the first to reach 20 points.

There are questions a team other than the Panthers would have. Apparently the GM wanted Stroud. Young’s choice was from owner interference. As bad as the McCaskeys tend to be, they don’t do stuff like that.

Gotta say I like the Prime viewing experience. More flexibility to watch highlights.

This was the first game in a while that I was rooting for a W.

Game was no sort of measuring stick (unless its to see who is the worst team). Bagent looked his most comfortable. His long throws aren't his strength, but not turn-overs or sacks. OL looked not horrible, but again, no real test there. Defense looked better. Sweat makes a difference in terms of turning our zero pressure squad into something mediocre looking, but we still need another guy to have a real pass rush.

I really don't get people crapping on Bryce Young. Remember people were crapping on Tua before Miami made improvements to the line and actually got him some weapons. Then all of a sudden Tua looked like he did at Alabama. If the Panthers can do that Young will be fine.

I'm not a Big fan of our current ownership but be careful on who you wish for remember when Daniel Snyder ran Washington into the ground.

Folks wants instant gratification if the Bears draft another QB next season expect the same deal the QB position is very hard to master in the NFL.

We will have to see how Fields does over the rest of the season. We have some tough games coming, especially the two against Detroit. The best scenario would be for Fields to show competence, at least enough to give him one more year. Maybe he would look better with a starting WR core of Dj Moore, Marvin Harrison Jr and Darnell Moody in the slot. And then add Fashanu at left tackle, who hasn't given up a sack all year. If we add Fashanu we are set at starting tackles for the next 8 years (barring injury). The right side of the line is looking good with Wright and Jenkins. We just need to upgrade from Whitehair and Patrick and we'd have a pretty good O-Line. We have depth at RB. It could be that Getsy is the bigger problem, not Fields.

Just as a general rule I would not draft a short QB. Young is only 5' 10". There have not been many success stories for QBs shorter than 6 foot in the modern NFL. There just haven't. Maybe he breaks the mold once Carolina can get him sufficient weapons. But that could take years. Stroud is 6' 3". I would have drafted him instead of Young based on height alone. I think Carolina is going to regret the Young pick every bit as much as Bears fans regret the incredibly stupid decision to trade assets to move up and grab Trubisky.

This is why I say stay the course bring in a new coaching staff and build around our QB if they Marvin JR. and the LT from Penn State now they are cooking.

Don't say that too loud, because Amazon already charges for Prime, they'll charge an additional amount to have those views.

Bagent looked decent. Again, I think his floor is a high end backup in the NFL. Makes quick decisions, usually finds the right guy with the decision making, but as he stated, he has to get acclimated to the NFL speed.

I don't think you can for the simple reason that the following year's QB class doesn't look nearly as good. You give him another year, and he doesn't pan out or he looks like he has for his career and now you're stuck overpaying for a QB in a trade and wages, OR you're taking a shot at a QB or Shadeur Sanders stayed at Colorado and you sucked so hard that you had a chance to draft him.
