Billy's kid is coaching them as well. I guess that makes sense if he's coaching the G-League Team.

I remember the year the Bulls had their core players (Chandler, Curry and Crawford I believe) playing in the summer league and the team wasn't particularly good. It started dawning on people then that there was a problem.

Hopefully this summer goes better with Buzelis.

I am happy to see Phillips out there, just to see if/how he's progressed. Looks like a lot of experience with our system put around Matas.

Hope they sign Nate Knight. Kids a beast; glad they’re getting another look at him

No Terry? I know it’s his third year, but he should try and get some runs in.

Get them all minutes, don't waste time thinking the guy who cam drop in 30 points should be rushed straight to the roster. What you see in practice getting applied in the games is what you're looking for. Who actually learned something in practice and can run the plays and make the rotations in game action.

Dalen Terry IMO should have been a part of this team.

Dereon Seabron is a big 6'7" guard from NC State. Averaged 17-6-6 in the G League.
Tyler Thomas was the nations 4th leading scorer this past season. 23 PPG. Attempted 10 threes a game, at 37%.
DJ Steward is a former 5 star recruit out of Duke(did not live up to his 5 star billing). He's been solid in the GL.

It takes away from Julian Philps and Matas development showcase

I can't recall a guy who isn't coming back from a 2nd year injury that has played in the SL. It is a way for guys unfamiliar with NBA rules and the Bull's system to gain familiarity against sub-NBA level talent. Terry, despite underperforming his first 2 season (mainly offensively), won't benefit from this. He knows what he needs to work on and he's been working on it. We'll see if he's a keeper or a bust this season. He's "only" a 3pter away from being a useful rotation guy, but there are a lot of guys who that was said about in the past, who aren't in the NBA anymore (becoming an average 3pt shooter is no slamdunk!)

I like Seabron, he has a similar game to Ayo. It's tough for me to differentiate which of to two is more athletic. I want to see Seabron get a lot of minutes at the guard positions.

OMG, Nathan Knight.

I hope he does well and they sign him to be the 3rd big, I've wanted him on the Bulls for a while.

I freaked out when I first looked, I though Tyrus Thomas was making a comeback, and then I saw it was TYLER Thomas...

Thought Terry might have got a game or 2, but semi-glad he isn't, given the ball to Phillips and Buzelis.

Exactly. Dalen would have gone full DDR.

I'm not expecting a lot from Buzelis, these games are mainly for non-NBA guys to get a chance. Buzelis is guaranteed to be on the roster already.

I don't think he's even capable of going full DDR.

huh? SL is super important for rookies. A bit less for Matas as he played in the G League but still, he needs to get a lot of minutes against his peers and show out. If he doesn't look good that's an immediate "ok this is going to take time" data point.

If he does look good it's a data point for he's ready to be a rotation guy. These games are important.

I feel like it's the exact opposite. It's mainly for recently drafted rookies to get their feet wet. That's the focus. And hey, if some fringe guys get an opportunity to show they belong that's cool too, but it's definitely secondary to easing in the 1st rounders.

Why isn't Bitim on the team, due to contract status (no fully warranted season) he could be the odd man out?
