We'll win as long as we are down by 20 first.

I will be surprised if Lavine plays.

Lavine should be out if there was a dislocation. I remember on mine it was 4-6 weeks, although I imagine that was extremely conservative. Time for Matas at SG.

Pat is dealing with a shoulder sprain as well. Damn man. We already got four guys hurt.

Yep. And there goes his trade value again. I don’t want him out there playing poorly because he’s hurt. Just rest and young guys play more. The losses are probably about to start piling up because this team is becoming a mash unit already. Which is probably good thing long term.

Just please keep Giddey healthy.

Forced tank is starting. LaVine’s injury can only heal by significant rest, but there is no way he wants to sit 6 weeks.

We're 2-0 on games I don't watch, so I will be making the sacrifice again tonight

Assuming Zo, Zach, Pat, and Smith are out, we still can run a decent 11-men rotation:

Coby / Ayo / Giddey / Craig / Vooch
THT / Terry / Buzelis / Phillips / Sanogo
Duarte or Carter

Completely forgot Duarte was on the roster. Might need him and/or Tucker tonight. I think Craig can easily give us 20 plus minute. He is clearly better than some players getting more minutes than him. He should start if Pat is out.

Think I saw Smith in the shootaround video with Terry, so there's that.

Duarte & Tucker deserve a shot over Terry. I know Terry is in there for defense, but offense isn't any less important than defense and overall he's been a disaster. We're -30 points per 100 with Terry out there, doesn't matter what his label is.

If the strategy is "we'll suffer losing minutes for player development," then put in Matas not Terry. There is 0% chance Terry turns into a star, we knew that even during the draft. His ceiling was a roleplayer, if he hits it.

Dislocated shoulders can often be popped back in and you play immediately....then it depends on swelling and the x ray....the x ray was negative....he is good to go with rest often.

These types of injuries are important to build depth and diversity for championship teams.

if guys sit tonight I'd really like to see us give Matas a lot of run - and preferably with the starters.

Having good passers out there like Giddey, Vuc, and Coby will be huge for Matas.

Don't stick him out there with shoot first players, give him help with veterans.

Yeah, but how much does the pain hinder his performance. It was clearly bothering him in the previous game. I’d rather him sit a while than have it be a lingering problem all season.
