So will all star players not be eligible to play on the rising stars team?

I was interviewed on this BS by the nba and i said no.

I mentioned the reason why this could be cool if I can see my favorite player play for a focused period or to celebrate first time or young all-stars.

All-star weekend should just be converted to a celebration of basketball. You want players attention for the entire weekend sponsor events etc... then ask them to play competitive basketball for 48minutes. Not happening

Format schmormat. The AS game has sucked forever and will continue to suck forever. It’s the worst form of exhibition basketball and personally I think it’s embarrassing.

I get why though. If I was a player I would half ass it to avoid injury too. And bully for the player for receiving the award which is a dream come true for them.

But will I watch this format or any other? No. I’d rather watch bowling or whatever else somewhat less lame thing is on that time of year. It’s the worst basketball event on earth.

If it was balanced conferences I would agree. We aren’t the Leastern Conference anymore but still ain’t good

48 minutes competitive ?????..... not likely, with only 40 pts needed to win, it'll take them about 10 min per game to reach 40 pts if it's like most other NBA all-star games.

Regardless, I agree with others the All-Star game is a joke and embarrassment to the sport.

It's broken. The players broke it. They are also the one who's supposed to fix it. Or just retire the All-Star game.

Durant and Bron can bitch and moan all they want, but they're the two guys who are going to go out there and half-ass everything with everyone else, when they're the two guys who could have put their noses down, played hard, made ASG's at their primes something to tune in. Players just don't give a ****, which I don't mind - I'm just sick of hearing them say anything except "I just don't give a ****".

Current AS voting and no surprise as not one Bulls player to be found.
