My Predictions for the Trade deadline and remainder of season

Post#1 » by Guru » Sat Jan 25, 2025 5:03 am

Please add your own, beyond----we won't trade anyone and do anything because AKME is incompetent what are yours?

1. Vuc traded
2. Buz takes over PF spot
3. Craig traded
------------Not much else and we do keep our pick

What I would like to see happen
1, Vuc traded
2. Buz takes over the PF spot
3. Craig traded
4. White traded
5. Carter traded
6. THT traded
7. Ball and Giddey start together whenever Ball is playing

1. Vuc and Craig Traded to Lakers with
Vuc-Carter-Craig-------Rui-Vanderbilt-Hayes-Picks
OR
Vuc-Craig-------Rui-Hayes-Hood/Schifino-Picks

Ill go with the first one.

2. White traded to the Lakers
White-------Londale and Picks

Finish the year off at
1-Giddey-Ayo-THT
2-Ball-Terry-Duarte
3-Lavine-Pwill-Phillips
4-Buz-Rui-Vanderbilt
5-Smith-Londale-Hayes

I'd try to trade THT for a second, and assume we would get a buyer.
Decisions then made on Lonzo-Londale-Hayes-Giddey in the offseason
If Rui doesn't fit he's on an expiring next year and tradeable.
PWill gets much more time at the 3.

At this point I'd love Giddey back but only at a reasonable price. I expect him back.
I can't watch Lonzo and not want him back somehow. I get that he should move on for himself, and that his health is a risk, but he's just so smart and fundamentally fantastic and he's rusty. If that leg holds up a backcourt of Giddey-Ball-Lavine is so fun.
Rui is great running. Londale has played with Giddey. Hayes is the type of bouncy rim runner we want, albeit not at all polished.

Huh? You said the other day that they shouldn't be fired because they are good people. Now they are incompetent? Which is it?

He's saying that's going to be the consensus board opinion, not that it's what he believes.

Why does this remind me of that Michael Jordan SNL sketch?

It’s the most likely outcome.

In reality every single player in the roster besides Matas should be available for trade if the return is acceptable.

No matter how many times you say it, it won't become true.

I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if we don't make any moves. But if we do it will probably be Vucevic and that's it, maybe Craig is included in the deal too.

We just have to keep our pick. If the West stays strong, AKME could get their dream of a Playin trip, plus we pick at #9 or 10
I'm worried that SA and another team above us tank, and we end up at #11

My prediction, Vuc to GS or LA and MAYBE we get a 1st back

Hoping they can move (at least) 1 of Vuc or Lavine but I think most likely outcome is the Bulls dont find a deal they like enough to move and so they stand pat. It feels like the team is emotionally in Cancun already so I do think the chances of keeping their pick are high.

They should make an effort to keep the pick, but they won't.

I think we'll end up trading Ball, Carter, and Craig.

I predict that Vuc gets traded for a late first in next summer's draft and expiring contracts. I also predict that at least one of Ball, Giddey, Coby and Ayo gets traded, probably Giddey or Ball. Too much mediocrity in that group to continue on with them.

My prediction:
1) Trade Vuc for expirings and 2 seconds
2) Trade Ball for expirings and 2 seconds
3) Trade Craig for an expring and 1 second

We roll with the lesser roster with the hope of tanking, but Pwill and Coby start playing well and we end up with the 11th pick and lose it.

If we make trades and do not get a starting 4 in return that is pure incompetence. If we trade Ball, that is as well, unless he wants to go somewhere else.

We have Carter, Ayo and White (along with others) we can use to get a 4. Keeping Ball and Giddey should be a no brainer.

Not to defend the Bulls, but most teams don't make big moves at the deadline. There hasn't been a time in the past 20 years where it would have made sense for us to be a buyer in a big move, yet we were a buyer once anyway when we bought Vuc in a "big move" which was one of the dumbest things the franchise ever did.

In terms of selling, we haven't a "big move" player to sell. Only small things we can sell off.

Generally speaking, there just hasn't been a whole lot that made sense in terms of big deadline moves to do in the past 25 years if that's just your expectation.
