A lot of bodies moved. We had to waive guys. Guys are getting bought out. Who do you want the Bulls to pick-up?

(not that they will) But who do you like anyway?

I'm only interested if some team cuts a young guy they aren't particularly interested in developing.

We have 2-way space now that Sanogo is redundant.

I doubt they even look for anyone to sign. Anybody that comes in will be behind the 3 guys they got in the trade who would be behind the 12 guys they're taking 30 games to decide on. They still need size but don't want to cut back on minutes for Patrick, Matas or Phillips since they're sticking around. They sure don't need another guard or center. Nobody, just plain nobody is going to cut some young kid with untapped potential.

They won't, and honestly it'd be dumb to do it, much as I'd like to see him gone. KC reported yesterday that some of their Vooch discussions shifted toward deals that could be done in the offseason. They might as well see if they can get a positive return for him rather than cut him just to cut him, since I don't think he'll have all that much impact on wins and losses.

What I'm worried about is his shooting continues to regress, hurting his value in the offseason when teams realize he was just on a hot streak.

Frustration/impatience aside, the idea of waiting until draft night to move Vuc and Coby will only improve options (if slightly). The lotto order shakes up the market- teams get a wildly different trajectory. Plus we'll have a better idea whether we'll be in purgatory or hell... or hit the jackpot.

Not to mention the playoffs -- 15 teams lose (19 if you count play-in), and they usually pick between the absolutes of adding help, or blowing it all up (unless you're AK - 5y of standing Pat). In the summer, you usually have about 3 teams planning to tank hard, instead of 10 once the season gets going. Teams consider it's cheaper and more effective picking up an expiring vet instead of overpaying for free agents.

Buy out Carter and Huerter. Neither one should be part of the team's plans going forward. Playing them would only hurt the tank and take time away from the younger guys who need it more.

That leaves us with a rotation of Giddey, Coby, Ayo, Ball, Jones, Buzelis, Williams, Smith, Collins, Vucevic... 10 guys, and realistically that's all we need.

Their contracts could be useful next year as expirings. I'd rather they keep them.

No, you wouldn’t want the dead money. The Bulls maybe cut Tucker if someone intrigues them. But honestly I might just give more playing time to the two way contract players

We won't make any changes, but I would have loved to have taken a look at Mo Bamba -- especially if we had traded Vuc.

Vuc value has already tanked. He isn’t regaining that early season form. We will get nothing for him. AK was idiot trying to get a 1st for him.

Tre Jones could be an interesting get for some team. I'm not sure what the hell he's doing on the Chicago Bulls. AK could've kept Craig or Duarte and waived Jones immediately. At least Craig and Duarte already don't expect minutes.

No, Craig and Duarte had to be waived in order for the trade to go through, otherwise they would of had too many players on the roster.

Tre looked good a few years ago, I'd rather give him minutes than these vet buyouts.

I’d like to give Tre a (tank) run, but him with Coby/Ayo/Giddey was brutal. It’s amazing how Billy runs those lineups for huge deficits. The rebounding was comical.

I’d say he’s tanking, but he adamantly speaks against it.

Also important to consider it's not a cap space league anymore, the contending teams hunting for help will have a tiny MLE and a bi annual exception if they didn't use it this year.

It's part of why I'm optimistic we can retain Giddey on a friendly deal, nobody has big money to offer him. He picked a terrible year to get drafted.

Waive THT. He’s an expiring contract, fairly cheap, can’t see him being around long term
