This is a weird home back to back against the same team, never seen this before except for games that got rescheduled.

KC reported that the Bulls see Huerter as a real part of the future team and he's not just a salary match. Will have to watch him more closely since he's probably here for a while.

In the same report, Collins is not part of the team because Billy doesn't like playing bigs.

Didn't they try to shop Huerter right after acquiring him? Doesn't seem like a 'future piece' to me.

The AK delusion continues.

To me Im not as mad at that as I normally would be. Huerter is mad overrated. But if he is replacing Dalen Terry in the rotation, then I guess its fine for now.

Just make sure to decline Terry's QO for next season.

Dalen has been better than Huerter this season

He got as many minutes vs GS as Patrick & Jalen Smith, if minutes are any indication. And it's not like he was the hot hand.

It was rumored we were holding off on finalizing the deal to potentially redirect some of the new acquisitions, not specifically Huerter.

But he's not that good and shouldn't be getting big minutes ahead of younger players. :dontknow:

The trade was held off because they were trying to find trades for Craig and Duarte as they needed to make room on the roster to complete the trade.

The Bulls even held Huerter, Collins and Jones out of their next game as they were exploring trades for them.

Either way, I'm not sure why Huerter should be considered 'part of the future team'.

That's a bingo.

Not sure I'm ready to make any big statement on the potential of Cade and the Pistons. But they seem to be plateauing as a .500 team. On this board that's commonly called NBA Hell.

He's certainly putting up more numbers, on a clearly higher usage rate. And starting next year Cade becomes a $40mm player, slowly growing each season till it's legit $50mm per year.

Uh… plateauing?…

Lots of under 25 high ceiling talent and Ivey out after breakout this season.

They are light years ahead of the Bulls.

You think that next year Giddey will make the all-star team?

The Pistons won 14 games last year. This is an absolute step up from last season. It's NBA hell if you're a veteran team without any future going forward, it is 100% not the same thing as recent previous years Bulls teams.

Are these guys (Huerter, Jones, Collins) all expiring? I hate it we are playing them instead of Terry and Philips!

Only Jones is expiring, the other two have another year on their deals.
