We need to beat these guys down. Coby, Giddey and the defense in general need to bounce back.

Unlike OKC, this is a game they should come out ready, play hard defense, move the ball on offense and beat a team aiming upward in the draft. No excuses for a slow start or lack of intensity, act like you know this game matters and be takers not givers

No Terry or Phillips for this game, if that means anything.
Win or lose, I could take either.
Just hoping for a good Matas game.

Giddey needs to sit but he won’t.
I think we lose again.
I’d like them to have to win two games on the road to make the playoffs.

Has Giddey played himself into 40M annually?

Jahmir Young looked tiny. Billy put him out there to get cooked.

If the Bulls win (and 100% lock themselves into a play-in spot) do they let Giddey and Coby get some rest and time to heal up? They should.

I think they are still pushing for the 7th or 8th seed for the play in right now.
If it becomes clear that it's an obvious 9th or 10th, I could see them resting for a couple of meaningless games.

That contract was dumb before ink hit paper. Giddey looks really good though and you guys are winning games. He is only 22 years of age still somehow. I would be pretty excited to have got a young lottery talent like that for a very good older role player.

Nice to see Giddey back on track after two struggles.
Coby has it going too.

Yeah, jokes aside, there is a fundamental difference between Giddey and Pat. Josh has had a pretty alright career for a 4y player: 16 PER with 14/7/6 career averages for a rookie deal is considered good (not great/special), but you add his x-factor of elite passing/vision as a ballhandler. That’s starter-worthy even if his shooting and defense suck(ed).
Pat’s 5Y career averages are 9/4/1 with a 10.6 PER, with tons of games missed, and virtually no intangibles or x-factors I can think other than admirable system defense and good 3P% (on very low volume, and he’s basically a bad 1-on-1 defender). Anything you’d want from a 3D player (hustle, rebounding, IQ, tenacity, handles, leadership) is not there.
If you’re asking me to eat a triple-single for $10, I’d rather have the triple-double for $12. I don’t if anybody really gets what went down with that Pat contract. Largely defies logic. TBF the Bulls have actually been pretty frugal with every other deal besides Zach’s (which was market value… coming off 2 ASGs in 3Y). Vuc sucks but it’s not like his deal was a cap killer; they just can’t get a respectable return for him. 90/5 for Pat is deadweight.
