Who on this roster is a playoff player?

In my opinion, Matas, ayo, and giddey (to an extent. It's complicated)

Ayo is so overrated in this board . He would be be a 8-9 man on a contender

No one on this team is a playoff player at the moment. Everyone would either not play at all or come off the bench.

And so many people on here were excited about the Bulls winning all of these meaningless games at the end of the year. In the end the Bulls don’t get in the playoffs while also hurting their draft position. This organization has no direction or plan. It’s all about taking half measures.

Matas should get there if he can defend.

Giddey a more complicated question.

I still stand by Giddey. He had respectable/positive numbers even in his “terrible” early months as a Bulls, and came up with a strong statline in an admittedly bad play-in game (despite getting schooled and targeted on defense, and unable to get the Bulls offense working against an elite defense).

I agree that Matas and Giddey are as solid a tandem to build for as we’ve had. Ayo on a cheap contract could be a 8-9th rotation gem. He had a really rough year though.

End of the day, Vuc and Huerter shouldn’t be starting on any NBA team besides the Embiid-less Philly Sixers, and Coby shouldn’t be your #1 scoring option. Huerter’s a good role-player when the 3Ps fall, but Herro really outclassed him. I see a real problem with trying to tweak a line-up with 3 questionable starters. We need a great PG/wing/C. That’s why it sucks we’re pretty much out the Flagg and Harper sweepstakes.

All our guys just **** the bed in a quasi playoff game . Matas and giddey it's ok it was their first game with real pressure .

Giddey has been deeper in the playoffs then anyone on this team.

He was not the biggest problem but he does not deserve Matas excuse

giddey had zero pressure during that playoff run okc had already written him off . The play in game is most pressure he's had in his career . He played a good game it's all good .

Matas going to be a great defensive player based on what I’ve seen so far. Giddey must continue to improve his defense and shooting.

I think Giddey can be a playoff player. I based this off his performance with the Australian national team. He was the leader of his national team during Paris Olympics that beat Spain in group round and almost upset Serbia. He's not there yet, but he showed up in elimination games (25-5-4, 3-5 from 3 vs. Jokic and Serbia).

Matas has the drive and tool to be a good post-season player. Thing about Matas is he can play scrappy basketball when he needs to.

Matas hasn't done a thing other than go 1-4 from 3 in a play-in game, how the hell does he get mentioned.
He certainly didn't stop anyone from scoring on Miami.

As defined above in the Myers video, a "playoff player" seems to be a guy who isn't a one-trick pony whose one trick you can scheme away in the playoffs. Matas isn't ready to lead or go deep in the playoffs at this point, for sure. But as defined, he should be a "playoff player" if/when the Bulls are ready to contend. He already has a multiple-trick bag. I 'd like to think a mature Giddey will be difficult to scheme against, too.

That Playoff run was why they traded him. He lost his starting spot and got demoted because of that run.

That was why he took the Luka situation personally and still struggled against the Mavs.

I mean guys, come on. Conclusions based on one game? Jalen Green was a bum in Game 1 of his series, totally exposed. Now he's a stud after Game 2. We didn't learn one single thing from the play-in except that we lost on the night.

We learned enough. For Coby that was his 3rd play in row. For Patrick 3rd play in a row. For Vuc 3rd play in row. And so on and so on. Lets stop making excuses. Some guys are not born to be winners (when it matters).

That's why you move on from fake things and start building up real thing. Sooner you do, better for everyone. But that's not issue here. Issue here is ownership who likes this fake things and want make money on it because Bulls fanbase is biggest piggybank there is.

Hmmm. I imagine that Coby could be very useful to the right playoff team. For example, the Warriors, who are stuck using Buddy Hield in his role. The other two guys, yeah OK. But we already knew about their issues, long before the play-in.

Yes, he would. As a bench player as Poole player on Warriors. Not as Poole player on Wizards. Now you getting it. You cannot build first a roof of the house if you dont even have a floor, let alone some walls. So we both realize where issue is. Good.

Someone should have told Billy Donovan this before he let PWill, DT and THT play for 15, 13, and 16 minutes respectively, while only giving Jalen Smith 4 minutes.

I know he may not have been the answer, but it still baffles me.
