Don't know if he hates the spotlight but just gets annoyed with it at times and takes time off. This will probably be on a super part time basis.

I can’t for the life of me imagine what this would look like. Is MJ going to sit at a pre-game and halftime desk? I absolutely do not see that.

He's been more or less a recluse for the past 20+ years, at least by NBA standards. Have you read about the player's reactions to MJ showing up at the NBA 75 greatest players celebration a couple years ago?

Still hard for me to imagine him doing any live studio work. We’ll see. My guess is it’s something else.

Maybe it's going to be a skit like Chapelle's Hater's Ball, and will feature Jordan and Oakley smoking cigars and talking smack after replays of the current game.

MJ's take on modern basketball and modern superstars like Tatum is going to be fascinating for me.

I was surprised when one of the greatest low post centers in history the Dream said he'd be shooting 3s all day just like these other kids.

I am sure this is just an effort to get back in front of the basketball public to promote his position as the GOAT. The same way LeBron's group constantly promotes his case and Tom Brady wanting to stay in front of the NFL world.

My guess is it'll be some fairly limited pre-taped features.

I do hope he's as petty as I expect him to be.

I want him only covering games LeBron is in, needling away at LeBron's legacy as petty as possible.

Time to get back at Scottie for talking sht about MJ in every interview he does.

I think recluse is a strong word. You always saw him at Hornets games when he was the owner. I get what you're saying though. Jordan always skipped all-star game interviews and took a fine for doing so. He didn't want Vince Carter's starting spot in the 03 all-star game. I don't think he has ever appeared on a show like Open Court or Inside the NBA. I think he sees excessive involvement in the NBA as a waste of time because he has other things he sees as more important rather than him being introverted or antisocial.

IMO MJ is the GOAT, but I never found him all that insightful. Amusing, sure!

I'll be interested to see him, but yeah, nothing from his days running an NBA team suggests he's actually a great evaluator.

I have no idea what this will look like, but I love this. MJ and NBC go together and I want the GOAT to have a presence in the game (in a non-Charlotte Hornets type of way).

All that butt kissing Bryant Gumble did has finally paid off for NBC!!! #Winning

Maybe Magic or even Isiah will join him as they worked for NBA on NBC back in the day.
