11 days out from the 2025 NBA draft...Who is your guy?

Post#1 » by TheHrvReport » Sat Jun 14, 2025 6:45 pm

The Bulls were eliminated nearly a month ago vs the Miami Heat in the play-in. We've had a ton of time to watch the 2025 draft prospects, look at their measurables and how they tested at the NBA draft combine. With that said, who are you taking right now at #12 if you're Arturas Karnisovas on draft night? Please give your justification for why.

P.S. I only added prospects that are likely to be there at #12 based off of multiple mock drafts. IF you really feel someone not listed will fall to us on draft night, choose "other" and specify who.

For me its either Essengue or Coward, if both gone, next is CMB.

I still like Newell-I want Matas at the 3 and play bigger

I would also trade Coby if we could get a pick around #15 and take Coward. Our defense around Giddy could be really good

I like that Noa kid too

I'm hoping a surprising name drops. Just as an example a few mocks have Maluach available when Chicago picks. I could put him down here but most people would rightfully say "he isn't going to be there when Chicago picks". That would have been true of Buzelis a year ago.

Maluach at 13.

Maluach at 13.

It does seem he's dropping a bit in recent mocks but I still doubt he's there at 12. Too many teams needing a big man, but i would be pleasantly surprised.

They need shooting, big guard, and playmaking more. He doesn't project to be Embiid type impact guy but shown he can anchor a defense.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Gotta say, I didn't like Maluach if we were drafting higher, but at 12, the risk reward gets better. I still think he has a very high bust risk and don't like drafting C's with lotto picks. I'd rather trade 12 to CLE as part of a package for Allen.

KJ! And if not him, one of Coward, Essengue, but would kind of hope for a trade down and a Kalkbrenner or Berigner + a Saraf.

Of the realistic guys it’s Essengue for me. He’s growing too fast, literally and figuratively, to pass on.

I also like Queen and can talk myself into CMB.

Carter Bryant would leave me cold. Asa Newell is the only rumored target I would hate to my core.

I don’t think it would be possible to trade down and still land both Beringer and Saraf. But if you could guarantee me that outcome, it’s pretty much the only way I would move down from 12.

Which is impossible, which is why I hate trading out of 12.

If we don’t take a ball handling guard at 12 (which would I suppose only be KJ, Jase or Demin based on mocks) then I’d love to trade for a second pick to get Saraf.

Or if we do draft a ball handling guard at 12, I’d love to acquire a second 1st to get Beringer, Fleming, Sorber, etc.

Lots of combinations I would love with 2 picks this year. But one of those picks needs to be the 12.

You’d think POR pick could get you a 17-21 pick in this draft.

BKN has their 2nd 1st at 19.

If it could, I would do it. This draft looks incredibly diverse and deep to me. Cash it in.

I went with Carter Bryant but he's close enough to a tie with Noa Essengue that they're pretty interchangeable for me.

Maluach would be a dream at 12 though.

I understand your hesitation. I do think a lotto pick for Jarret Allen at this time would be a bit of an overpay though. You can probably get comparable output by signing Nick Richards, Gafford or Robert Williams (healthy) for cheaper.

OKC has 15 and 24. Orlando has 16 and25. Take on some cap and throw in the Portland pick…?

Wasn't it reported that AK isn't willing to take on future salary for an expiring contract?

Maybe OKC offers #24 for the Portland pick because they don't need two rookies...? Orlando seems like a team that should use their picks along with a player to upgrade their roster.
