Summer League 2K25 - Bulls vs Raptors - July 11 @ 7 CT

I'm surprised we don't have a thread for this yet. I'm excited to see some bulls basketball it's been a while!

We can also use this for other summer League chatter. I don't know which games to watch tonight

We're always one of the last teams up every year. Jazz and sixers have been playing for like a week now !

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I wanna see Matas play every night ! This is really likely the only chance we have to get an extended look at a Matas/Noa combo. I doubt Billy plays Noa much in the regular season, especially pre-ASB. Matas was more NBA-ready, and Billy didn't even like to play him early on.

What’s the starting lineup?

Fully expecting one Buz dunk and one Noa dunk.

I would like to see Matas Buzelis creating and attacking off the dribble. I want Noa Essengue to be exciting, energetic, and useful. He should be very similar to Matas in last year's summer league.

My guess is:

PG Jahmir Young
SG Emmanuel Miller
SF Matas
PF Noa
C Olbrich

I feel like they'll prioritize the draft picks and two-way contract guys for starting spots, but what I think the lineup should be is:

PG Yuki
SG Wooga Poplar
SF Matas
PF Noah
C Olbrich

did not expect joan beringer to be the first player to make me go "damn should we have picked him..." based on meaningless practice games

luckily derik queen is there to let me go "well at least we didn't pick him"

He looks good. Excellent shot blocker, will be interesting to see him in transition.

7 blocks is crazy.

The good news is AK really wanted him. I could see him being a trade target in the future.

demin looking scared to step inside the three point line on offense. danny wolf looking more comfortable running the offense with the ball in his hands. #Vindicated #CaseClosedAfter24MinutesOfSummerLeague

Little bit of a hype video...

So glad we didn’t get him. Dude looks like a JV player against men. Traore and Saraf will be better.

I’ve missed a bunch of games it’s seems. Do they re-air the SL games on YouTube or anything?

I’d really like to see the Beringer game. He was one of my guys.

Edit: Found the highlights. Sometimes guys just immediately look like legit freaks. He’s one of them. His defensive mobility is insane. I had Essengue ahead of him, but by draft night he was number 3 on my board for the 12.

What an athlete.

Is he? He has been averaging like 8 turnovers a game.

Flagg 5-21, schooled by Bronny. Bust - bullet dodged.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

What an athlete.

I just buy epsn+ for a month and cancel. But if you have disney plus or hulu package it can already be included.
