caleb looked ok
but ben johnson seems to be the one with the yips now. hopefully he'll settle down.
not sure what got into our defense today either. Looks like they were mon-starred out there

bears: spend an obscene amount of resources into the passing game, and almost nothing in terms of running backs
also bears: run run pass

Swift looked “OK” too, but I don’t know if the Bears are going to come up with an identity with him being the main guy of the offense. Albeit along with Odunze. If they’re gonna win, they’re gonna start running the ball imo. I think Monongai has a chance to be more identifiable with physicality needed to build that identity. They’re not going to outfinesse anyone. Grasping at straws here.

But I never expected a Dennis Allen defense to look this horrendous, injuries or not. Just abysmal. If we can't beat Dallas or the Raiders leading up to our Week 5 Bye then the season is pretty much a bust. Again.
it was a bust after week 1. needed to dominate the 8 home games

I think not taking Will Johnson in the 2nd round is going to come back to haunt us.
They targeted Tyrique Stevenson all game. He gave up 2 TDS and 2 deep ball plays. He looked awful today
People have to understand Dennis Allen defense is predicated on good play from the DBs..
For as talented Luther Burden might be, it means nothing if he can’t get in the game. That’s an expensive second round bench player

If Darnell Wright and Jackson keep committing penalties, would Ben Johnson have the guts to bench one of them at least for a half to make a statement

it was the perfect time to bench a guy who was being outplayed by his backup

I consider Poles’ extension a non factor more or less. If things keep trending in this direction, retaining him will be a non-starter, and the org’s just going to have eat the money.

Don't underestimate the incompetence of the Chicago Bears.

I’m not, they suck, but the Chicago media will be in pitchfork mode this week, and it’s only week 2.
There’s no way even the org can endure that for another offseason.

At that point, George McCaskey would have to step down at the same time. And Keven Warren who knows. They all married each other this year.

He’s not the “main guy” of the offense any more than any RB1 is.
Rome was the “main guy” today.
I agree Swift, and really frankly the RBs behind him, leave a lot to be desired. Swift strikes me as more suited to be a 3rd down pass-catching back than a lead back who runs between the tackles. He did fine today, but you could do a lot better.

johnson took control when he came in. he shouldn't have. loveland and jackson are on him
poles should have been replaced by a real GM

If this team is 0-4 headed into the bye, you’re selling Moore to the highest bidder. Same with Kmet. This team isn’t close to anything. Let the young picks play.

I don't understand this. Kmet is actually good, right? 3 receptions all season. Low hanging fruit.
