trade targets
Gasol-obvious
Brand-possible?
JON-risky
Kwame-dump wallace
I see those as the top 4-all should be possible and would help us in some way.
so, who's our pref?

We would be targeting anyone who is considered an upgrade at any position, that being said it'll no doubt be a particular player who voices his displeasure the loudest.
Judging by what happened last year, it doesn't look like Memphis will even listen to Gasol even if he voiced his displeasure once again.
I personally would keep a very close eye on Miami, something is bound to happen imo.

Brand is not being traded at this time. If LAC decide to trade him NOW, you know that that injury is major.
Besides, with that salary of Brand's, the Bulls would need to trade Wallace for him.
Can you imagine the Clippers trading for Wallace
Yes, the Bulls would do the Kwame trade - but would LAL??? Up to them.
The Bulls would do a Gasol trade if the asking price is reasonable. I consider Gasol the most logical target
O'Neal? Bulls would probably do it if Indy takes Wallace. I dont see that.
Okur? Why would he be available in trade? No way Utah takes Wallace for him

I see Gordon and TThomas for Brand possible, with Jsmith either sent to a 3rd team or kept by the clips-they are going nowhere and we could use him. Gordon and livingston would be a nice backcourt, the have thorton and Thomas around Kamen as very athletic forwards and can keep dealing
Brand would be a nice fit for us, we know that. Expensive, but nice
LA would have to add Vlad, no way around it. Not sure if we could send him somewhere else, but we could keep him if we deal Noc-wallace would be a nice fit with odom and bynum.
gasol's value is down, memphis sucks, they're losing a ton of $-why not?
Yes, JON would probably require them to take wallace-unless it's using PJ (not likely for bulls' management)
utah might want to shake it up-their interior d is weak. Wallace is still a good player, his salary is just too high. They also wanted Thabo last year-Wallace and thabo, plus our #1 (no protection) for okur, harping. Their D improves and they get a potential lottery pick?

Brand is at 15.4-that's easily doable-add thabo and VK and they could add Mobley and some small deals
Yep, it works. I was looking at the next year salary.
However, it will not be done with Ben Wallace still on team. With Wallace & Brand on roster ($31+ million between them) and with Hinrich & Nocioni ($18 million between them), Bulls cannot re-sign Deng without going over Lux Tax.

I would want Gasol. I really think a Noc and Tyrus Thomas can land him, with of course a filler to make the salary work. I would also either trade for a big guard or build Thabo confidence up and put him in Du spot.
Wallace
Gasol
Deng
Thabo
Hinrich
With Gordon Coming in for Thabo just like he is doing now.
I think Pax needs to be agressive trying to get Gasol. The Grizzles suck losing money and really need to add assetts to their team

Matching salaries would definitely be tough, Jerry Reinsdorf would likely not take on his contract and financially, he would be a nightmare.
That being said: +1
G Mike Miller 30/ Ben Gordon 18
G Kirk Hinrich 34/Ben Gordon 14
If those three ran a 3-guard rotation, I suspect a total of 450 3-pointers would be hit from the guard spots.

Trade Nocioni for a 2/3. Maggette would be nice. I would do Miller also but that seems a little unlikely.
Hinrich/Gordon
Gordon/Maggette
Deng/Maggette
Tyrus/Smith/Noah
Wallace/Gray/Noah
Damn this really evens out the rotation.
