I'm sorry but developing our young players and seeing what we have there is more important than any playoff run this team is capable of making this year.

The fact that the entire organization blatantly ignores that is disgusting to me. I am rooting for us to lose as many games as possible so we are eliminated from playoff contention early enough for Ben Wallace to get traded and the young guys to get PT and develop.

If they're not as good as we hope they are, we need to know that now... but we know for sure that they'll never be as good as they can be if they keep getting inconsistent PT, and their trade value will also be **** if they can't find the floor on our under-performing team.

I'm becoming sick and tired of this organization - ranging from the cheap ass ownership, to the wussy management, to the completely incompetent coaching.

Yes Lose every single game from tonite on! otherwise we will be a 7th or 8th seed playoff team for the next 10 years we need :

1) Rose
2) Beasley
3) Jordan
4) Mayo
5) Greene

I've been through your current state. After 9 years of what the schtupp's been going on throughout the past 9 schtuppin' years, I'm feeling apathetic to wins or losses. I now root solely for beer, laughs, and hot girls who don't know they're hot. Every game has fun moments - yay that, or get out of the kitchen.

For once I agree with you . I would pick Noah over Tyrus . I'm not a big noah fan . But he is certainly he is the better player between the Two . Plus he brings size . Tyrus has never impress . Fans overrhype him like they did with E-Rob

Sorry Tyrus' 3 minutes, after DNPCDs didn't blow you away. Who's you favorite player so I can poke holes in their 3 minute stretches? Thabo I will agree has shown zilch despite my hopes.

I'm on the dark side. I am rooting for losses, PT from Ty, Noah, and Gray. I don't want to resort to hoping for injuries...

when t2 has played hes done fine ,no worse than anyon else ..noc gets a pass by the coaches runnin around like a chicken throwin up crazy shots (very few have been going in) and running over guys with offensive fouls.

WOAH WOAH WOAH THERE!!! You're telling me those sweet ass alley oops TT got last year didn't make you jump out of your seat and scream HELL YEAH?!? Common man TT has alot of upside, but it doesn't mean anything if he can't get enough minutes to show case it. If he gets a whole month of 35mins per game and he still sucks than i will be on the bashing bandwagon. But otherwise, im treating this as the Gilbert Arenas circumstance where he was rotting on the bench his first season and became an All-Star once he got the minutes.

Forgot to almost mention... I am all for those loses, we need another badass draft pick so he can rot next to TT and keep him company. Khyrapa just aint good enough nemore for that role on the team, can't blame the guy though... Michael Sweetney left some pretty big shoes to fill on bench rotting.

I've been on this side for awhile, but it has nothing to do with tonight's asterick loss.

We should be honest with ourselves and know that it's not going to happen. More than likely we'll finish with a mediocre record.

But playing someone so good like Tyrus Thomas will eventually make you win more games....

I went and looked to see how many times Tyrus played the minimum 20 minutes I think he should be playing every night. It happened 11 times this year, where he averaged 26 minutes between those 11 games...

In those games, he's averaging 9.6 pts, 7.3 boards on 47% shooting.

Andres Nocioni, who plays the first PF spot off the bench and was considered by most of the people on this board to be our best player throughout the beginning of the season with a green light to shoot as much as he wants has averaged 25 minutes this season, putting in 13.3 points, 5 boards on 42% shooting. He misses more defensive assignments/rotations than Tyrus can begin to imagine missing.

I just don't see the Tyrus hate.

Well on a positive note, Tyrus didn't wear his infamous grey t-shirt tonight.

i'm rooting for trades, not another lottery pick. it just doesn't make any sense at all to get another young player with loads of potential at this point. they would have even more of a logjam and more confusion about the direction of the organization. developing youth or winning.

Well id Deng is out with an injury for a long time then say goodbye to the supposed "easy" January schedule. So you may get your wish.

I'm rooting for losses. This team is agonizing to watch and I'm just hoping for a way to be excited about this team again. The only way I see for that to happen is through the draft.

The Bulls have been through drafts plenty of times and still don't have a superstar what's the point. Might as well trade for some veterans and try to make a run at the title.

I kind of get the feeling that some posters dislike players that have some flare to their game. There's certainly been some level of bias against offensive players (not that Thomas is that) who are inconsistent on defense. You'll often hear things like, "Yeah he can score, but he can't defend..." I remember reading that all the time when people would speak of trading for Pierce. It's also the reason that so many posters were excited about Eddie Basden. I've always thought that the saying "defense wins championships" was the most annoying phrase. It discounts the importance of good offense. The truth is, "balance wins championships." You have to do it from both ends.

But to get to Thomas, I think that the posters who dislike Thomas probably were hoping for Aldridge. It's the 'grass is greener on the otherside' thing. If Thomas was in Portland he may be the one looking like a star. I'm having trouble believing that Aldridge would have gotten playing time from our coaching staff. Also, I haven't watched a ton of Aldridge, but the games I have seen (dating back to college) I haven't seen a guy with a post game. A scoring forward, but more of a jump shooter.

Here's what Boylan thinks:

Thomas is averaging 6.1 points and 4.7 rebounds in 17.1 minutes and had played just 9 minutes 46 seconds in Jim Boylan's first four games as coach before logging 3:11 on Thursday.

"Right now we're in transition so we have to let things settle down," Boylan said. "No one has lost faith in him.

"In the short term, those [comparisons] are unfair to make. You have to give guys a good stretch of time, several years, and then you can make those judgments. Both those guys are in their second year and I would say probably if I had to Tyrus had a better first year than LaMarcus did."

As a rookie, Aldridge averaged nine points, five rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 22.1 minutes for a bad Blazers team. Thomas averaged 5.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 13.4 minutes for a playoff team.

"Now LaMarcus is coming on," Boylan said. "I'm sure Ty will do whatever he can to get back in the rotation and prove he was the pick we should've taken."
