If Mike Redd is out there, go make something for him! Package Deng into some type of trade.

Its abit of a reach to assume that Redd is on the block. He is their best player on the team by a large margin and you dont just trade your best player for the sake of it. I can understand why they want to keep Yi for awhile longer, but i don't think he'll be staying beyond his rookie contract. As for Bogut, he is a solid player, but i don't understand the big fascination with him. He hasn't really progessed his game since he was a rookie, and i don't ever see him as a player that will dominate a game with his style of play.
Why so serious?

You do realise we'd be in worse shape defensively with Redd than with Gordon, right? Even his height add nothing to his defense.

Put me on the "Stay away from Michael Redd" wagon.

If he is available, Pax should do what he can to get him.

Who cares, the most important factor in this is his height, not his actual performance on the court!

Whoops forgot to say, put me on that club too!

Someone made a thread on the Mil board, they really hate Redd:

Redd for

Nocioni, Thomas or Noah and Joe Smith

Smith is just filler and could be cut to go back with the Bulls if necessary like we did with Alan Henderson a few years back.

Redd is yours if we get Nocioni and TT as the principles. And yes, please....pretty please....take Gadz.

Well he would be nice to have, but not for the price wanted for. Giving up Deng, Gordon or any young bigs wouldn't be wise.

I wouldn't give up Deng, but I'd gladly surrender Gordon or one of the youngin's.

More likely they move pieces so that Redd isn't playing by himself or change the coach (or both).

But if he is available and they are going to rebuild then it would probably be smartest to attempt to use him getting moved as a way to get Gasol.

Redd would fit in well with Memphis.
Gasol here.

We have some young players, although neither Deng or Gordon will look appealing to a rebuilding team as they will both need to be paid. But Tyrus/Noah/Sepholosha/Gray/Etc would all be interesting to varying degree's to both teams.

Gay/Tyrus/Sepholosha/filler to Milwaukee
Redd/Noce to Memphis
Gasol to Chicago.

Gay will be a hard sell to trade for memphis, but it's possible they would part with him for a player like Redd, possibly Conley instead?

Redd would be nice here, but we need post scoring more. And without giving up Hinrich or Gordon we would have way too much money invested in our PG/SG department and hardly anything in the frontcourt.

Neither Gay nor Conley would be involved in a Redd deal. That's pretty much certain.

"I obviously have not seen the Bulls play alot but when I have he has looked aweful and just did alot of stupid things........I can't imagine if he is half the player you are saying he is, he would not get on the court, although Joe Smith has been awesome for the Bulls......so throw Smith in the deal and take out the great Ty Thomas and I am sold.........I have friends and work with people from chicago and no one I know has said a good word about Thomas, all I hear is how sick they are about dealing Aldridge for him"

Can someone please go to the Mil board and stick up a little for Tyrus, i'm too tired. It sickens me when people talk about how he's stuck to the bench because he's dumb and lazy when they don't know anything.

Milwaukee fans would take Nocioni and Tyrus from us alone for Redd, so Gay isn't even needed. I posted the one where they get back Mike Miller, Nocioni, Tyrus and they think they are making out like bandits.

I think this deal works well for both teams. I know many of you woulldnt want to give up Joe Smith because he is our only low post threat (if you want to call him that). It also works in the trade checker.

Congratulations on a successful trade.

I'd trade Redd for Tyrus, Duhon, Noc, and nothing more. He's not that good, he's very expensive, and he's the worst SG defender in the league. But giving up a player who never gets burn, who can't hit a shot, and who can't play D either...it's worth it at this price.

The tax implications are huge though.

What makes you guys think that JR will approve a trade for a guard who will be paid a max contract over the next 4 years? Approx $65 million - more than was offered to Gordon or Deng

Remember: No Lux Tax......

no way Redd fits in - even if they would take Wallace for him.
