Ok I have read many people say that prior to the season there was a trade agreed upon b/t Paxson and the Lakers that would have sent Kobe here to Chicago. Not a three way deal just one b/t the Bulls and the Lakers. Then according to everyone Kobe vetoed it and thus we have no Kobe. I have only heard speculation on what the deal might have been. Do we know for sure one way or the other what the deal was? If this is common knowledge then forgive me because I missed it. I assume it involved Deng(hence why Kobe vetoed it) but not sure what else. Thanks in advance.

paxson contacted the Lakers & they made it clear that they do not intend to trade Kobe.

Both Paxson & Kupcake said no players were ever discussed - and even Sam Smith acknowledges that.

However, the media went crazy for a few weeks & made up all stories
