Great Gasol Trade Here

Sum up the trade

Knicks Send
M. Rose and E. Curry

Knicks Receive
B. Wallace and S. Swift

Memphis Receive
Sefo, A. Gray, 1st and Curry

Memphis Trades
Gasol and Swift

Chicago Receives
Gasol And Rose

Chicago Sends
B. Wallace, Sefo, A. Gray, 1st

Only side people have said is the Knicks might not be interested in it, so we may need to throw in another 1st or Noah. Not that big of a deal, point if Grizzles seem to like it, and if they don't instead of Gray, work a deal for Nocioni in exchange for Warrick and A filler.

I'd do that in a second. It would leave us thin at C, but we'd be much, much better offensively.

Duhon
Hinrich
Deng
Gasol
Noah

Gordon
Thomas
Smith
Nocioni
Griffin/Khryapa/Curry/Rose

More like:
Hinrich
Gordon
Deng
Gasol
Noah/Tyrus? (Not sure if Tyrus would be effective at center)

Gasol would be decent at C, he could play next to both TT and Noah. Gasol is still pretty young, too, 27 I think.

I proposed something similar last week on Knicks Board - and some Knick fans were adamant : the Knicks will do nothing that would help the Bulls get Gasol

I would absolutley do this. The only thing is there seems to be some bad blood beween Pax and Isiah and here Isiah basically fascilitates a Gasol to Chicago trade. I can't see that happening.

that trade is almost flawless. 2/3 teams in that would be satisfied...the knicks would have to be of the mindset that wallace would be good in their system...much better than curry is, and they'd also have to be able to live with that fact that they help us get our guy. Honestly i think wallace would be better there than he is here...but i doubt it'd help them win that much more.

I love that trade for the Bulls but I don't know why MEM would want Curry when they are trying to play like the Knicks.

I think this is a no-brainer. Not only do we get Pau Gasol, we also get Malik Rose who will be a $7.6M expiring contract after next season. Good god, yes.

No brainer. Would never happen.

The Knicks are 8-24, guys. Their season is over. They are playing for OJ Mayo now. Why would they trade for Ben Wallace and his contract when, even thought I think he's improve their team, its WAY too late to save their season?

Gasol can play C fulltime if needed. He's played all C this year.

Knick fans might not want to help the Bulls get Gasol, but IMO Isiah will do whatever it takes to save his job

Knicks wouldnt do it this year.... even though in the wacky East one is never out of it. But still, even if they did somehow want Wallace, they would need picks or something else coming their way as well.

I still think a deal could be worked out with us getting Gasol, where Memphis gets Redd (there fans seem to love the idea on there infopop messageboard), we get Gasol, and Milwaukee gets something along the lines of Nocioni, Tyrus, and either another piece from Memphis and/or Chicago, plus picks. Majority of Bucks fans saif that they would do a Redd for Tyrus, Nocioni deal, surprisingly.

I really don't see a deal happening this year. I was all about trading gordon at one point, but unless we get miller along with gasol i'm not sure trading gordon is an answer. Our backcourt would end up being the worst in the league, and that's no exageration. I believe terms could be reached this offseason. This trade is a for sure if they could end up with beasley to play PF for them. Then groom noah to play alongside him after darko's deal is up.

Hinrich 10.25, Nocioni 8, Noah 2.3, Griffin 1.7
Gasol 15.1, Miller 9.1, JCN 1.5

Gordon / JCN / Curry / LLE veteran
Miller / JCN / 08 1st rounder??
Deng / Miller / Sefolosha / Nichols
Gasol / Smith / Thomas
Wallace / Gasol / Gray / 2nd rounder

Why would we help you get Gasol and get back Wallace's contract?

They won't want Kirk with Conley Jr. and Lowry.
