Is it me or has it been pretty darn boring watching the bulls play. I'm not sure if its because we are having a sh*tty year or the way they play is simply BORING.

As of right now i wish we had 8 Tyrus' on the Bulls just to see one of them dunk from the 3pt line. I need to see some ally-oop action or something.

If they were winning games I honestly wouldn't care if every basket scored was a 10-15 foot jump shot.

Pretty much. Once a team's fan base has accepted the losing, then if it becomes a choice between losing while being exciting or being average, they will take the exciting losing every time (see Kobe's Lakers and KG's TWolves). Though this year, L.A. has surprisingly been a quite good team, even if not ultimately to the point that it will appease Kobe in the end.

What's fun is watching the ball go in the basket. We....don't do that :blank:

For me its about losing or winning basketball games. I dont care if Tyrus Thomas blocked a shot that hit the jumbotron or if he dunked from the free throw line.

We really don't have a "Star" player. At least when we're losing early on during the Jordan era, he was entertaining as hell.

How about watching Dominique with those Hawk teams. Shaq with Orlando. Vince Carter when he played for the Raptors.

If we're going to lose, at least have some players capable of "Wow" plays every once in awhile.

The announcers are boring as hell too. I actually look forward to TNT broadcasts because they aren't such massive homers that whine about every call from the refs.

I like watching when the young guys are playing, but that's the minority.

I would get excited about a commitment to the young bigs, however, we don't have that. :(

Give over. We've just had 7 very entertaining games in a row. Fluctuating standards in those 7 games, but sure as hell fun.

they are in almost every game and i'm still watching.

some nights it has been like a bad car wreck that you can't turn away from

but interest has been waining of late.

NCAA conference play is kicking into high gear now and the ACC will be rockin with UNC/DUKE both having excellent years.

I don't like the term "boring basketball." A lot of people say the Spurs, more specifically Duncan, play boring basketball, but I love watching the spurs, Duncan especially, play. They play the game the right way and think about what they are doing. Duncan is the centerpiece of this. I love watching his focus and patience, he's orchestrating the game (although Parker has taken a big role recently). But the Bulls don't play like the Spurs. In past seasons their defensive intensity resembled and maybe even rivaled the Spurs, but the offense was always a garbage imitation.

This season I would say that Bulls Basketball = Frustrating Basketball. Continually make stupid mistakes, never seeming to learn from them, miss defensive assignments, keep running a pick-and-roll with a post player with no ability to pick-and-pop (greatly limits options). We run and rerun offensive sets that make us resemble a college team (not necessarily a bad thing if they worked). We draft players then don't allow them to play and develop. We fired one coach then replaced him with his lead assistant only to find out it brings about the highly probable same result.

I sit watching bulls games wondering why certain players are in or why we are running certain plays that continually don't work. Then we lose and do the same thing next game. These type of things frustrate me, they don't bore me. But I am growing very tired of the consistent frustration.

The problem is that Pax's had put together a choir boy team not a NBA team.

Right because the Bulls never take on players with previous legal trouble.

Well, apart from JamesOn Curry's arrest for possession with intent to supply. And Joe Smith's incident from bottling a gay man in a nightclub. Or that coach he hired with a history of jail time.

Yeah, and they even arent allowed to say something (Noah case earlier this season).
I think we have only Duhon, Noah, (Thomas) and Nocioni that show some flashes of emotion! I hate that!

The Noah thing was a joke. Skiles said as much. When repeated flat without context to Noah, it didn't sound as such. Sarcasm rarely does. That's why Slim invented green font.

Not to mention the Joe Smith-Minnesota inicdent.

Also, Ben Wallace played the role of altar boy in the basketbrawl, which was a made for choir tv production.

There's a huge difference between good basketball that isn't flashy (like Duncan and the Spurs) and bad basketball that isn't flashy (like whoever and the Bulls).

I enjoy watching quality basketball. This year the bulls are trash. I don't know what happened in the off season but these guys have become worse than they were even two years ago.

QFT. Many of the decisions on the floor boggle the mind. I agree with every statement that you just encapsulated. Whatsmore, I cannot stand how the clumped spacing and lack of movement in the Bulls' offense create the perfect conditions for a crippling drought. The stubborn bug has bitten our now rotten core and a pestilence of impudence prevades. So I'm just gonna stand in the corner behind the three-point line and hope that Gordon does something.

It's fair to say that the bulls aren't a pretty team to watch, I couldn't call them boring though because as an avid fan I am intrigued to see how they respond, react and develop in different scenarios. I can understand why people wouldn't want to watch them though, a defensive minded (although it hasn't been good lately), hustle grind it out team who struggle to score the basketball let alone doing it in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

As for the Spurs I like to watch them play, I sometimes get sick of seeing them in the finals but I never get sick of good execution, teamwork and fine skill. I guess it depends on what you look for in basketball, the casual fan and fans who are watching for entertaining and fun basketball generally enjoy highlight plays such as dunks and fast paced tempo's. While others really appreciate and enjoy the technical side of the game and like to watch simple yet good effective basketball which the Spurs provide on a regular basis.

The key word is execution something that the Bulls are not good at it hard for me to watch the Bulls when they go 4 mins without making a fg.
