Style of Play?

I believe our players are talented. Uber-talented? No. Above Average? Yes. I go to most of the games and have the following observations:
1. Our defensive scheme of sagging and doubling all of the time does not work any more. Rotations back to our men are too slow. Perhaps it worked b4 when we played our butts off effort-wise. It may work if we were taller than the teams we face. We are almost always undersized at most positions (i.e. watch Kirk, BG, Wallace get lit up by anyone his size or taller). Also, if we have to work so hard on defense, it seems to slow down our push on offense (we're out of juice). We need to quit doubling on the perimeter. It's ok to double inside with the 3,4,5.
2. Our offense seems like we are going back to the 'run into something and kick it back out.' Our scheme requires us to be a good jump shooting team. Bad formula for bad shooters and for playoff success IMO. We play better using simple basketball plays (pick & roll etc.)
3. I think we have a few things battling each other. Boylan wants to win now, so he wants to use vets mostly. We want to make trades, so we are showcasing Kirk, Wallace, and BG. Our young guys (who are more NBA-sized players) do not get time. Our best lineup against the Knicks was Gray, Thomas, Noah, BG, and Kirk. Never happened again in the second half. I don't think this can be resolved until we get rid of Kirk, Ben or Wallace.
4. Last - our schemes do not play to our advantage. We have an extremely deep team. All 12 can play. We need to run run run, not play half court offense. When we need to switch styles to half court, dump it in to Aaron. Generally, we need to keep subbing all 12 and run the crap out of the other teams.
I think we'd all agree that our players are not being used in the best way. This is why Chandler can put up 22 and 10. Many of our players would flourish in other systems, not just because we don't have a 'star.'
Who would be great in an open offense?
Tyrus, Wallace, Noah, BG, Deng, Du, Sef, JOC
Who is better in a half court offense?
Kirk, Kryapa, Gray, Smith, AG
Which lineup do you want to go to battle with? Let's change styles before we get raped of our talent or players walk.
Sorry for the long-windedness...
