Deng and Hinrich are not better than Gasol . Plus Kirk Hinrich has played terrible this year . Nobody on this team should be untouchable . This is a 13-20 team .

ya and the 10-25 Grizz with that MVP Gasol are in such a better position to push Chicago into their deal. Pau has done exactly what in his lustrious career?

I agree. Last year I balked at the idea of trading Deng and Hinrich for Gasol but now that looks like a very good deal for us-- doubt the Grizz would go for it.

No offense but you guys see Pau being a solid big man to lead us to a championship? I think we could breed a big man better than we can pick one up while losing a signficant part of our pieces. I'd love to get rid of Ben Wallace for Pau Gasol but that's not happening. I wouldn't trade Deng or Gordon if there was hope for a resigning. I just can't see all the fuss about Gasol when he hasn't done anything in the NBA worth respecting.

Heck, his olympic team won it......WITHOUT HIM!!

Ben B. wrote:Some Memphis fans have said that they'd be OK with BG, Noc & Smith for Gasol & Navarro. Much as I would hate to lose BG, I would do that deal.

Then, as I have stated on too many occasions, I would try to get Raja Bell from Phoenix (or perhaps Bonzai Wells from Houston, as a distant 2nd choice) in exchange for Thabo, VK and maybe 1 future draft pick or other consideration.

Kirk/JCN/Curry
Bell/JCN/Kirk/Curry
Deng/Bell/Griff/ Nichols
Gasol/ TT/ Noah
BW/ Gasol/ Noah/ Gray/ TT

I am all for this, part one at least. Face it Gordon has to go. He seems to be back and forth when it comes to his contact, trade him. I would hate to see Noce go, and I wouldnt do this unless resigning Deng was certain.

I dont know what we would do about the starting shooting guard thing. I'm sure they would figure something out. I hate Bell, but if he helped our team, i can learn to live with him (Ben B, isnt Bell a bad defender?, just curious)

Bonzi could be interesting, but deadly to team chemistry, ya know.

I woould not trade Tyrus, Noah or Gray to Memphis for Gasol.

Bell is known as one of the best defenders in the league.

I don't think you can win with a big guy like Gasol or J. O'Neal without having a lethal perimeter scorer. Perhaps JCN could be that, but I think Gordon becomes extremely valuable when paired with a scoring big.

OK so if we're going to try to get Gasol then I want Navarro included in the deal. We really need another gouard and he's a combo with some decent size and he's got a good outside shot which could come in handy with Gasol in the team. I don't think Memphis would have much trouble throwing him in the deal.

If we're going after him these are the things I would want:

-One of Noc or Wallace included in the deal. If it's Wallace I'd be willing to take back Cardinal whose contract is the same length as Wallace but is completely useless.

-Kirk is not untouchable, especially if we're getting Navarro in the deal. He's severly regressed this year. This season he hasn't been doing anything above average. Even his defense which used to be great is now average. If Memphis wants him (they won't) then I'm completely open to trading him.

-If they want Noah or Tyrus, they can only have one, not both.

Seems like we always get worked up over these trades, but at this point, I'm not even sure that the Bulls would be good enough to contend even with Gasol.

If I'm not mistaken, at the World Championship he only missed the final game which Spain won in a blow-out (whose to say they wouldn't have blown them out with Gasol?). He played in all the other games and was named the tournament MVP.

If he's available there's no way Pax misses out on him again

Chicago Sends
Andres Nocioni
Tyrus Thomas
Viktor Khryapa
Adrian Griffin
2009 1st Rounder Unprotected

Memphis Sends
Pau Gasol
Casey Jacobson
Andre Brown

Hinrich / Duhon / Curry
Gordon / Sefolosha / Jacobson
Deng / Nichols
Gasol / Smith / Brown
Wallace / Noah / Gray

works for me. Bring Nichols and Curry up from the D-League and you'll get more firepower from the bench.

3 ways trade, this will help all teams

bulls trade
ben wallace, gordon, 2008 first round pick

memphis trades
gasol, mike miller

houston trades
mcgrady, head
-------------------
bulls receive
gasol, miller

houston receives
ben wallace, gordon

memphis receives
mcgrady, head, bulls 2008 first round pick

this trade works
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/t ... &te=&cash=

Bulls starting line up
Gasol
nocioni
deng
miller
hinrich

Houston's starting line-up
YAO
Ben Wallace
battier
ben gordon
alston

Grizzlies starting line-up
Darko
warrick
gay
mcgrady
conley

The good for the bulls they get there low post scorer and they dont have to worry about gordons contract

The good for houston, they get a good shooter(ben gordon to replace mcgrady) and also they get ben wallace who would look good next to YAO. Plus the rockets lack in centers so wallace would help.

The good for the Grizzlies, they get mcgrady who would look good next to gay. And in the future the grizzlies could be the next big 3 with mcgrady, gay, ?. Also the grizzlies would be getting a pg/sg in Head and bulls 2008 first round pick.

So you got any special plans for that first rounder? A hot date? Late movie? Dinner at Outback? Might as well give it up to a team who could be rebuilding soon.

Yeah.. OK.. A good GM acts upon the moment to make his team go over the hump.. It's 2 years too late.

Paxson sucks.

My highly tuned spidey-sense tells me that the thing he had a problem with was the fact that the pick was unprotected.

You know what they say, always use protection 8)

Ok yea I can see that, but I don't see the rarity of us sucking after a trade like his happening. Doesn't matter to me though. Offer a future 1st.
