HUGE INSIDE INFO (okay, really minor inside info)

A friend of mine who knows the Bulls D-League affiliation head coach said that the Bulls are going to send Nichols back down soon and that it's unlikely that either Curry or Nichols would be recalled this year.

He also said that he talked with someone in the Bulls front office and that the Bulls would keep Boylan on as coach if he made the playoffs (though it didn't come from Paxson, so who knows how accurate this piece of info is).

The source on the first piece certainly seems credible though.

It's a shame that we're not going to bring Curry back this whole year. We must really be high on Nichols too. With Duhon's shakey shooting, you'd think he'd get a chance. I wonder why they'd make this decision though. I mean why set this in stone?

Uh oh about Boylan.

Nick Nurse just wants an NBDL ring. It's probably accurate, I'd rather have them both playing competitive games rather than riding the pine.

As for Boylan staying on if he makes the playoffs, I don't like it one bit. I doubt it's credible, but if it happens to be, I don't get it. I don't mind him as an interim but it's pretty clear to me that we will require a better longterm replacement coach, and making the playoffs isn't the kind of goal that should determine whether Boylan stays or not. Were certainly making the playoffs IMO, it's just the seeding which is questionable.

Well I'm sure that the guy wasn't talking to John Paxson himself, so who knows how accurate the Boylan thing is. I don't put a whole lot of faith in that one either. Though it does make me believe there is at least a chance for Boylan to keep his job.

I can't honestly say that we'll be making the playoffs. Every other game that we're suppose to win, we let slip through our grasp. If we make the playoffs this year, I'd definitely be surprised. I'd like to keep him too if we get past the first round convincingly. I'm anticipating how they look closer to the ASW.

About Nichols and JOC, if they get significant playing time down there and the games are improving their overall skills, then keep them down there. There definitely isn't anything better for improving your skills than playing.

Knowing Chairman jerry, Boylan will be kept if he makes playoffs

JR is paying Skiles $4 mill for next year & Boylan will work for a fraction of that

Yeah, I was just thinking Nichols looked very uncomfortable on the bench with this team, and that we should send him back down to the D-League, and low and behold...

That's because he hasn't spent anytime with the team
