Signing Eddie Robinson to that Ridiculous signing because he had one good series against the Heat

Or Signing Ben Wallace away from the Pistons

Eddie Robinson. Not even close.

Erob was worse - at least Ben helped us in the playoffs last year.

this wallace bashing is out of hand. the guy helped us win 49 games. he helped us win 6 playoff games.

right now he leads the team in rebounds, steals and blocks. he did last year too!

sure hes overpaid.. we know that. but the signing is not the worst thing to happen to the bulls.

Next question is, who was a better player, Michael Jordan or Fred Hoiberg.

One signing gave you national exposure and credibility and national TV games and a playoff sweep of the reigning NBA champions.

The other signing...didn't.

Wallace. Robinson's contract wasn't nearly as bad and he didn't really hurt us on the court or in the locker room. Wallace played well last season and in the playoffs, but so what? He's killing us this year and is quickly erasing what his impact from last season by making us worse now.

E-Rob, that was just an insane FA signing based on a few dunks for a horrible Hornets team.

You'd rather have Ben Wallace for four years at $60 mill than Robinson for five years at $32 mill?

Wallace because his cancer is a malignant one that that has not been limited to him alone like Erob's was. His failure to deliver on the goods and his pouting nature which makes the club fearful to put him in his place, has poisoned the entire team and positive forward momentum and progress the organization had going before he was signed.

If Paxson is not deft with handling Ben's situation, this signing really could damn the team into another dark age and then yet another restart at rebuilding. I really don't know how many of us die hards could live through that again. The Krause debacle years were somewhat mitigated by the afterglow of the dynasty, but this one will have no such laurels to rest on.

year 1: valuable

year 2: not so good

year 3: outlook not good

year 4: valuable expiring

That's two out of four years having some value, as opposed to 1/5 for E-Rob.

Well we are arguing tallest midgets, Wallace to me is a problem now that needs to be addressed.

how is he killing us anymore than hinrichs slump? deng and gordons lack of confidence? nocioni being out of control? duhons shooting!!!

Actually, I know it wasn't a choice but right now I'd have to say Kirk looks like the worst signing. Then Erob, then Ben.

But thats just cuz I got some serious Kirk hate in me right now.

I guess youi're right in that respect. I wasn't considering Wallace's value in year four. We never had that chance with Erob since bought him out.

That being said, I never felt that Robinson was cancerous or prevented anyone from developing.He was lazy and part of the 'lazy culture' but he wasn't the reason for it.

Yeah, but that has more to do with Paxson and Skiles than with his contract. I mean, if we were patient we could have just kept him on the roster and tried to trade him as an expiring.

Hinrich's slump is hurting us, but I still think he, Deng, and Gordon are all trying. Wallace I'm not sure of. I see him standing a lot. Jumping a little.

Wallace hurts us in:

- His contract is so disgusting that he's virtually untradeable at the moment.

- He may make it hard to keep Gordon or Deng.

- He takes away mins from the young bigs.

he takes away minutes from young bigs because of the coach. start him, sit him early, let the young kids play. he so happens to have more experience than them too.

all of these things you pin on ben wallace may be valid but none of them are his fault.

i see him not jumping for boards too. do you think it has anything to do with the chipped bones in his foot?
