Laker fan here, just wonder what's the deal with Ben Wallace. I was still impressed with his performance last year and I've always been high on him, but it looks like he's not producing the numbers that he used to. All the intangibles that Ben Wallace is known for doesn't really decline at a fast rate even if he's getting older. Is he just not fitting in right? Is it the coaching staff? Or is it something else? And lastly, are Bulls Fans looking to trade him and what not? Hope you guys can turn your season around because I'm still a fan even after MJ left.

He got his pay cheque and retired don't you know. He just has not fitted in. When he is angry he can play well, most of the time he doesn't care, not interested, not part of the team, an outsider who gave the nod to fire skiles and led the charge for extending noah's suspension. You can have him for a bag of chips.

Any deal not involving adding salary gets universal approval on this board.

He's still got the physical tools to be around 75% of the player he was but he only appears to bother caring in about 10 games a year and the coaches force-feed him his useless 38 minutes anyway in the other 72.

Trippy I think Ben Wallace is a terrible fit with this team, on and off the court.

I think he could benefit a playoff contender with existing team leadership. Of course his contract is an issue for any team.

The Lakers are one of the teams I think Ben could help. He's not a sure thing and again the contract is not attractive to most teams (any team?).

I don't know if the Lakers can take on Ben's Salary (they owe Bynum and Farmar extensions in two years, Wallace's deal is three years).

Wallace would be a good, but expensive, addition to the Lakers. He might just be worth it though. He can still play great inside defense and would help them a lot in the playoffs -- which the Bulls will be watching on TV.

LA can have him for Kwame and Radmanovik, which IMO is a good deal for both teams.

My initial thought would be that Noc would have to be a part of that deal. That would almost be better for both teams, but definitely the Lakers. I like it though because Odom can run the offense and let all of our combo guards and Deng do their thing. Oh, and the whole dumping Wallace thing.

I am sure that the Lakers would benefit by obtaining Wallace for Kwame & Vlad. To show my personal commitment, I will fly out to LA and wash Jerry Buss' car(s) by hand if that will help to seal the deal.

He is a good player when he wants to be, but it doesn't seem like he wants to be anymore. Phil Jackson could probably get the most out of him tho.
