Okay, now that BG's contract thing is settled and we have a glut of guards and the roster is set for now.

Let's predict how many games our Bulls team will win this year???

I also don't think Bulls will trade either of Hinrich/Thabo/Hughes and BG can't be traded without his permission.

Here is the depth chart:

Rose/Hinrich
Hinrich/BG/Hughes/Thabo
Deng/Nocioni/Thabo
Tyrus/Noah/Gooden
Gooden/Noah/Gray

That is how I see it mainly because of how high Pax/VDN are about Tyrus and how they want to go small and all.

Noah didn't have a good summer and I think it will take him a month or two to be upto the competition.

Anyway,

Cool predicts: 45-37 record and 6th seed in the East.

I'm saying 50-52 wins!!! That might sound crazy but that's what I think will happen

Before the worst case scenario of Gordon on the QO became a reality, I had the Bulls down for about 48-50 wins.

Now, I simply can't even hazard a guess in good faith. I'm just going to maintain that making the playoffs should remain the expectation and goal for this team. I just have no idead how to predict what is ahead. The range of possibilities has become immense due to all of the lingering uncertainty.

I am going with 41 wins, and quite frankly, I think I'm being aggressive. We are dealing with both a rookie head coach and a rookie point guard. I gotta think there are few, if any, examples of teams in that situation being over .500. Moreover, the East is tougher this year than last year with the addition of Brand and a healthy Wade. The only truly sucky team will be NY.

Are we going to have another board wager for a username change?

I will say the Bulls will win 42 games this season and be 42-40. That will be a huge improvement over last season's team and the Bulls will only get better. I think the Bulls will have their usual slow start, and this won't be helped by a new coaching staff. Although this staff is 1000X better than the last one.

I'm gonna lowball it cuz I'm not getting my hopes up just yet. I did that last year, and nearly shot myself in the foot for it. 41-41

There's a glut on the team, but at least it's not a glut of bad players. We're fortunate in that matter.

My official prediction is 46-36. The Bulls have a very talented mix of players. They still have the biggest part of the core they had from the 47 and 49 win teams in Gordon, HInrich, Deng, and Nocioni. And they mix that with a very good group of young talent in Thomas, Noah, Sefolosha led by the future franchise cornerstone Derrick Rose. Drew Gooden is also a good factor in this as well from the Ben Wallace trade. Paxson talked about how he didn't expect a "basketball trade" from the Wallace deal but he lucked out with Gooden.

A lot talk about the East getting better and it has. But it isn't better to the point where the Bulls now get dropped to some 11-13th seed in the East. This is a playoff team, and with the chemistry still being there and the rise of overall young talent on this team, they will be a good team this year and rebound.

So again 46W 36L.

I have to agree with with Duck here. How much we win is dictated by who plays and how much. With no indication of that so far, I can't make a prediction that I believe in.

Bulls gotta be one of, if not the hardest team to peg.

We won 49 games with basically this same roster.

We traded a guy who did close to nothing for us and got back a similar guy in Larry Hughes, but also a productive big in Gooden who played well for us.

We went on to win 33 games.

We upgraded by adding the number one overall pick who does some things we severely lacked offensively.

We have a rookie head coach, and any coach is better than Boylan. As a plus, all signs are positive so far on Vinny.

The Boylan era has left me thinking 35-36 wins even though all signs point the other way. However, Ben Gordon is on the QO. We have a guard glut. We have question marks like Tyrus, Thabo and Derrick. We have a rookie head coach. I don't know what to think.

Talentwise, we could win 50+ games. Will we? I don't know. We could go through growing pains with Derrick and be about as bad as last year with something like 35 wins. Will we? I doubt it, but it could happen.

I'll meet those expectations around half way, and say we win somewhere between 41-45 games. I think we'll be a low playoff seed and may have a chance at upsetting any team outside of Boston. Either way, things look alot better than last year.

I find it very hard to advance on the 33 wins as easily as everyone is saying. I think 32-50 is quite close to a team with a rookie coach, rookie PG and a team too many minutes; likely leading to no one having a consistent year. The East is better IMO and I think the team misses out. I could (and hope) to be wrong, but I just can't shake that last year wasn't a total aberration.

i see 45 win talent on the roster; if the coaches can sort out the guard situation, if the players respond to the coaching, and rose bonds the "vets", they could achieve a few more. if the guard situation becomes problematic or cancerous, and vinny is in over his head (which i don't think will happen) it could be as low as 35-38.

Two years ago, I was dead on in my prediction of 49. Last year, I called 58 and was waaaaay off. This year is really hard to read. I think if everything comes together, the Bulls could be a good team. There are a ton of variables though. I put 31 to 35, but I don't feel strongly about it.

IMO, three things to watch:
- How quick (if at all) does Rose come around
- Coaching
- Tyrus / Noah / Gooden. Can they hold their own?

If the coaching sucks, Rose struggles and Tyrus/Noah/Gooden get pushed around, this could be reeeeaaaallly ugly.

Could it really be that much uglier than last year?

I am thinking around 44 games but I mean it could vary I just think rose can open up the offense for others. If everyone goes back to close to what they were we should be a solid team

I think this poll needs to be re-done after our big trade in next 3 weeks.

However, as of today & assuming we make no changes: 39 wins
