Honestly, I'd rather do kaman for gooden/thabo and our pick with protection than for Amare with gooden/TT/thabo and our pick.

I see Amare's no D as our biggest issue. I'm not that up on Kaman but I heard
1-he is good on D.
2- good attitude
3- his contract might allow us to resign ben
4-injury history, just like Amare
5- allow us to us noah as a 3rd big-perfect role for him

I've never thought Kaman was a good defender. Am I way wrong?

I'd trade for him, but I wouldn't give up very much.

Per 48 he gives up more points than he scores.

I don't think Kaman is a bad defender, although I think he is best using his size to allow him to play man to man as apposed to being the anchor of your defense.

To me, that is a nice asset, but I feel like the bigger issue on our team is having an anchor that can block shots and contest in the paint.

I'm not saying Amare is that player, but I don't think Kaman is either. I also think Amare's quickness and leaping ability give him the requisite attributes to add those skills. Whether he would or not is still out, and probably unlikely.

With the news that GSW might be shopping Biedrins, I would rather have him than Kamen.

Either way with 2 solid big guys seemingly available ...it'd be a damn shame if pax can't pull anything off by the deadline...

Lets send Tyrus, Gooden, Thabo and a #1 for Kamen. Get it done Pax

So you'd send all that for Kaman whose more injury prone than Amare but you wouldn't send a package similar for Amare because he had surgery 3 years ago?

Send them Gooden Simmons and Thabo for Kaman. They get salary relief and we get the inside presence we need and establish a solid big man rotation of Noah, Tyrus and Kaman.
