With the way he is playing what teams could use a SF that is playing great
Portland?
Any others?

Deng isnt the problem IMO.. what we must do is find a way to ditch Salmons and Hinrich. Salmons sucks and every game the threat of him not opting out gets bigger. Hinrich is a waste, he is a bad fit and a bad contract.
Then once Miller, Gray, Hunter, Pargo expire at the end of the season we will be able to construct an NBA roster for once.

With his contract, he's not going to get you a player that is better or the same caliber as him.

We should be able to at lest get a fringe All-Star player with a package geaturing Deng. We may have to add more, and the player might be on a bad contract or getting older, but Deng is playing very well right now. We can get good value for him if we trade him now.

With Rose/Deng on our roster, who is going to make any threes?

Hopefully our new SG

Deng has a nice stroke from 3 pt land, he should take it more.

If you can spot deng in the corner, he will be able to hit those consistantly. but year, I am not sure of any team that needs a SF that bad and would be willing to give up much for him.
However, to the original post, Maybe Deng for Kaman, Ummm, Deng for West, not many other teams need a SF that badly, Deng to Minisota would make sense, but they have nothing worth trading for other than Love and Jefferson and niether are on the move.

I think Deng can grow into making more threes.
His 4th quarter and clutch performances are what are scaring me more long term. The Bulls are just taking a bet right now that if the team had a real number 1 option (let's say Bosh or Boozer), Deng would rarely or never have to take clutch time shots where he had to create and thus his limited offensive versatility would not hurt the team as often as it does now, when he is our 1st option, or 2nd, if you want to assume Rose becomes #1 in crunch time right now.
I think this kind of bet is kind of dubious though.

There was a time that we could've probably had Gerald Wallace for Deng. That time has passed now, but he'd be fun in the open court with Rose, and we'd really dominate the glass with him and Noah.
We could likely get Butler for Deng. He's not a great fit next to Rose, but he can be assertive on offense and I think he'd pass as a legit second option. He's having a bad year, but I think he just needs a change of scenery.
It's probably worth monitoring Al Jefferson too. He's better than Deng, but when you're as bad as they are there's always the possibility of a desperation trade.

Besides Kevin Martin, Al Jefferson, and a few others, Deng is not worth moving until this summer if it nets us two maximum free agents.
People we need to trade
- Salmons
- Miller
- Hinrich
- Tyrus Thomas (while we can get some value back)

I feel your frustration T-time. And I partly agree w/ your statement. Deng isn't the problem, but he's a part of the problem. If we can trade him, do it now.
Salmons, and Hinrich have not been playing great, and 1 of them has to go. The Bulls need a shooting guard desperately.
Derrick Rose is no Rajon Rondo, Chris Paul, or Derron Williams when it comes to leading a team. He's more of a 2 guard if you ask me. Maybe another PG would help elevate the teams play.
Whatever the answer is...It's time to make some moves. The loss to Sacramento will take awhile to get over. A good veteran could be the answer, but that won't happen until July.

No.
Bulls fans need to be patient. This is a rebuilding year, not a year we are suppose to win a title. The team should be aiming at
A). Liquidating players for expiring(s) + picks
B). Trading all the tradeable players (Minus Rose + Noah) for one star that is already under contract past 2010.
Since B seems doubtful due to the availability of those players, option A seems the best. Option A means
Move Salmons for expiring(s) + 2nd round pick
Move Miller for expiring(s) + 2nd round pick
Move Hinrich for expiring(s)
Move Tyrus for expiring(s) + mid 1st round pick
With an extremely weak team, Rose, Deng, Noah, Johnson, and Gibson can improve, they end up tanking, guaranteeing them a top 5 pick.
Draft best available, and go into the 2010 summer free agency knowing all you need to do is move Deng in order to sign two max free agents.

If Deng can establish a post game, shoot the 3 at 40% clip and grab 10 rebounds per game, i'm pretty sure other teams will be dying to get him but as of now.......No.

I cant see Salmons moved for expiring contracts not this year. The same with Tyrus, the only teams that might have an interest would be contenders and there picks wouldnt be worth it. No borderline lottery team will give up a pick for Tyrus.
The problem with Deng is not that hes a bad player its that for what he provides he is extremely overpriced

You don't trade junk and expect to get anything in return. Everyone would love to get rid of Hinrich and Salmons because they hurt the team more than they help, but that's exactly why nobody else would give the Bulls anything for them.
You trade players who actually have value. This is something Deng has and the other two don't.
Trading Deng would not be as bad as some people think. The Bulls are a Knicks loss today away from having the 7th worst record. They'll only be a half game and one game ahead of Indiana and Washington.
Getting rid of the team's most productive player definitely makes you worse since you likely won't be getting a player of equal value in return. So then the plan is obvious: tank for the 1st pick.
Keep in mind just how bad the team is WITH Deng playing the best ball he's ever played except for 2007 maybe. The likely outcome of dealing Deng would be losing more games. Sometimes fans just need to understand when their team is not talented enough to make the playoffs. When this is the case, your only option is to tank.

DENG + TYRUS + KIRK for AL + BREWER + SESSIONS + FILLER(EXPIRING)
or
KIRK + NOAH for LOVE + A.DANIELS (EXPIRING) + SESSIONS
or
DENG for LOVE + BREWER + EXPIRING FILLER

Except tanking for the number 1 pick usually doesn't pay big rewards for most teams, historically speaking.
Is that a risk worth taking, especially when you're trying to develop and not destroy the confidence of our young players (Rose and Noah)?

What can Deng get the Bulls? He can get them a little over 18/8/2 on 47% shooting with top notch defense.
