I refuse to be disappointed

Post#1 » by transplant » Tue Sep 22, 2020 8:57 pm

Yeah, I know that no one posts here, but what the hell.

I've been a Sox fan since 1959. I cried when they won it in '05 'cause I didn't think I'd live to see it happen. In this insane year, I was happy to see Sox baseball, any kind of Sox baseball. What I've seen has thrilled me. We have ourselves a damn good team with a tremendous upside. We have years of contention ahead of us.

This said, the MLB playoff scheme isn't great for us. We only have 2 reliable starters and that may be one less than we'll need. Maybe we can slug our way out of it...maybe not. In any case, for me, I've already gotten more out of this crazy season than I expected.

Sox limped into the playoffs, but came up big in game 1. Giolito was brilliant. I don't care if no one on this board is paying attention. I'll keep posting just for the record.
