McCarthy was roughed up Wednesday against the Angels.
6.0 IP, 10 H, 5 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 4.50 ERA, (0-1)
We'll have to wait until Saturday to see Danks. Massett has pitched well in relief so far this season. The early money goes to the Sox on this deal, but we'll see how it pans out as the season goes along.

10 hits in 6 innings. I would consider that roughed up, yes.

That is roughed up if you ask me. Basically he didn't give up more runs simply because of luck, at least that's what his periphs show me.

McCarthy pitched well today against the Rays and got the W.
6.0 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 2 SO, 0 BB, 1 HR
On the season he is:
1-1, 3.75 ERA, 1.50 WHIP
compared to:
Danks 0-1, 4.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
and Masset 0-0, 4.70 ERA, 1.43 WHIP
Pretty even on both sides. All three pitchers have helped their teams with solid outings this week.

McCarthy sucked in his last start.

he was subpar his last start but we had a utility man playing in his last start and no joke the guy had to have let at least 4 balls get past him which led to mccarthy's shortcomings.
