Pitcher Scouting Reports:
White Sox:
Floyd threw 60 pitches in relief during the night portion of Friday's doubleheader loss to Boston, compared to 57 pitches thrown by starter John Danks. But with Floyd working six games out of relief this year and the White Sox being somewhat cautions with Danks' innings total in his first year, Floyd gets the spot-start call in the series opener against the Rangers. He will be making his fifth start of the season and has yielded 12 home runs among his 46 hits given up in 33 innings, while walking nine and striking out 20.
Rangers:
Gabbard is making his sixth start for the Rangers, and is 2-1 with a 3.51 ERA in five starts with them. He has had some forearm stiffness, but said he had no trouble with it in his six innings against the Baltimore Orioles. The Rangers won, 30-3. He is 2-0 with an 0.64 ERA in two career starts against the White Sox. While with the Red Sox, he faced John Danks on July 21 and won 11-2, giving up one run on three hits in seven innings. Opponents are hitting .225 off him, including .207 by left-handed hitters.

The Whitesox are just awfull right now and they are not getting any better. They don't have any pitching what's so ever. They have a couple of guys on offense that make solid contributions in Paul Konerko with 27 homeruns and Jermaine Dye with 22. The series against the Boston Red Sox was just an embarrasment to the whole entire Whitesox club. There pitching got rocked every outing and they just couldn't get anything started on offense. I realize that the Red Sox are good but comeon they were just beating the Whitesox in every aspect of the game.

If they don't turn there season around quick I think that Ozzie Guillen is in his last year with the Sox's. Even though he does have a world series ring with the Chicago Whitesoxs.

They have pretty good pitchers, they just aren't pitching to their full potential.

Ozzie Guillen has his back up against the wall this year. I think that he will get booted after this season. He just doesn't know what to say in press conferences. The Whitesox are just down right dreadfull to. I mean they can't buy a win, there pitching is awfull and they can't produce runs. He deserves to get the boot after this season in my opinion.
