Actually, that's not true--that is Yulieski Gourriel I'm thinking of. Still, Alexei Ramirez was one of Cuba's best players.

I like this deal for the White Sox: apparently he has the versatility to play all three defensively-important positions (CF, SS, 2B).

Hopefully they stick him permanently at SS after this year because his bat already looks really good.

I know Kenny would want to, but I think it would be dumb to waste that money and block a young player who could turn into a stud when the Sox realistically won't be competing for a championship.
