The Sox also included left-handed reliever Boone Logan to Atlanta.
The names I heard coming back are catching prospect Tyler Flowers (still needs another year or two in the minors), a infielder Brent Lillibridge who has speed , third baseman Jon Gilmore and 20-year-old left-hander Santos Rodriguez.
Kenny adding some young talent, and cleaning house. I think Vazquez end of year performance did him in.

I have no problem dealing Vazquez. I just hope the Sox reinvest some of the money they saved ...
Vazquez $ 11.5 mil
Cabrera $ 9 mil
Swisher $ 7 mil
Crede $ 5.5 mil
Uribe $ 4 mil
Hall $ 1.5 mil
Total Saved $38.5 million

Not so fast on Cabera. It was announced on the Score yesterday that he is all but set on accepting arbitration.

That won't made Kenny Williams happy. He wanted the draft picks to help reload the farm system.

I had to do a double take when I read the notes on Cabrera taking arbitration.
From the tribune........
"The White Sox learned late Sunday night that free-agent shortstop Orlando Cabrera had declined the team's salary arbitration offer."
