The wikipedia entry on perfect games is one of those topics that just really underscores how great the wiki format can be. Amazing stuff:

Against one of the best offenses in baseball no doubt. Someone's breakin' out the Buehrlot tonight.

Heh . . . that was actually added after I pasted the link.

The speed with which current events are edited is pretty cool -- but I'm more impressed by the breadth and depth of that entry. The little capsules of each perfect game, including whether or not the pitcher was aware of /discussed the fact that he was involved in a perfect game, the list of perfect games lost on the 27th batter . . . just incredible.

Great catch by Wise. Probably the play of the year thus far given the situation. In Buehrle's no-hitter a few years ago, he gave up one walk (to Sammy Sosa) and promptly picked him off in the next at-bat. So he faced the minimum in that one as well.

i search wiki rather often b/c that have info on EVERYTHING...in the past week i've read about shawn michaels (HBK...whose real name first and middle name is michael shawn) to the partridge family to public domain laws...wiki IS great, regardless of it's rep

Can't wait to see Dewayne Wise's perfect game/shutout/no-hitter saving catch as the number 3 webgem tonight behind Kevin Youkilis digging a ball out of the dirt and Alex Rodriguez accidentally catching a line drive.
