I hope our bats wake up. I know you probably hope they don't. The pitching has been there for us, so far. I wonder what kind of a reception Mr. Baker will get when he goes back to Wrigley? I don't think it will be very good. It seems most cubs fans are glad he got run out of town. But, maybe if the reception goes bad that might be just what our offense needs to get clicking. He might be able to take some of the pressure off of the players in this series.

Harang has fallen apart in the 6th. We were up 3-2 now we are down 5-3.
Griffey went Yard for number 595, Kepp is still swinging a nice bat.
Here is a link about Dusty's return to Wrigley:

well, we got a run back 5-4 heading into the bottom of the 7th, but we squandered a big opportunity. We had the bases loaded with no outs and only managed one run. Burton takes the mound in the bottom of the 7th. He has excellent numbers on the season. I would love to watch the rest of it, but I have to get to work.
How come when we had Dempster he was Dumpster. 8-12 over 2 seasons with an era well over 6.

and the streak continues
Okay, I am back to my original thoughts on Fogg The guy is a bust. He got blasted for 9 earned runs in only 2 innings of work in this one.
Patterson needs to sit he had another 0for in this one. The guy is supposed to be the table setter, but the only thing he has been doing is walking to the plate and then walking back to the dugout.
12-3 cubbies
If we don't win the next one, it will be the second series that we have been swept in a row. I know it is early and the division winner only won 85 games last year, but we are once again diggin ourselves into a hole this season.

We didn't get swept in this one afterall.
Reds win 9-3. JR went deep again. Votto went deep again. Kepp continues to hit in every game. Patterson got the day off and a leadoff man actually reached base. Dusty changed the batting order up a bit in this one and it seems to have worked because the bats woke up a bit.
