Reds @ Giants 4/27

Volquez Vs. Zito. Volquez has been great today, one run through 6 innings with 8 K's, and he has lowered his era on the season to 1.27.

Zito didn't fair as well. The Reds put up 6 runs in the first inning and have cruised along all day long heading into the bottom of the 7th with a 9-1 lead. The only home run hit was by Phillips (his 4th) in the top of the 7th. All of the other runs have come from the conventional get em, on get em over, get em in route.

This should be 2 in a row and make us 11-15 overall.

This is the first time I have really had the chance to see Volquez pitch this season. He has nice command, changes speeds, moves the ball around, and looks like a very nice pick up. He should improve to 4-0 on the season after his performance today.
