The sad news is that Patterson is still on the club. Hatteburg was the player that got designated for assignment.

If we can't trade Hatteburg in 10 days, which we probably won't be able to do, the reds will have to eat his 1.8 million dollar contract. We already ate the contract of Juan Castro. I think it was just over a million dollars. That is almost 3 million dollars in wasted payroll. I am glad it isn't my money that is being thrown away.
